Over the years I have amassed a wonderful collection of inspirational master made double bass and cello scrolls in plaster. I find that having a physical record of this past makers workmanship extremely useful and inspirational. I don't really make copies but there is much to be learned from the style and the feel of these masters.
The process of safely making these models is constantly being improved and I've tried and have quite a few different materials. However I think this is probably the best result I've had so far.
