It makes me wonder how often I've heard ocarina on soundtracks and did not know it. Beautifully crafted, beautifully played.

I have 2 of them and I love them 💕
Excellent talent and craftsmanship. What I loved the most is the flute he used at the end. It had obviously been broken and repaired several times. Yet it was chosen. Because of its beautiful tone. It symbolized a profound thought that broken on the outside doesn't matter. It's the music coming from within.

I know exactly what you are describing on a personal level. When my first ocarina broke, I put it back together with glue & after that, it had a more rich sound from that point onward.

Curious, what did you think they looked like? Like a normal flute or something? And that they looked like that in Zelda to make it look like a cool fantasy flute?
Nothing like watching a master craftsperson just doing their thang 🤌

I mean it's clearly a dude, why not say crafts MAN .
I just started playing The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time again, and every time I see or think of an Ocarina, this man and his beautifully crafted Ocarinas cross my mind.

@@pribilovian4709several ways actually. Easiest way is to get a Nintendo switch you can buy the yearly subscription and you can play the n64 version legally through them ton other games too like majora’s mask Benjo Kazooie, etc.

My uncle played one of these. Such beautiful craftsmanship. This tune makes me weep with you wonderful talent.
I’m an american who lives in Central Europe. I went to a middle age festival/quasi ren fair, and I was so embarrassed when I saw a table selling these. “The instrument from Zelda!” I proudly cried. The woman smiled and handed me a tiny booklet, outlining the history of the instrument. She learned me good 😉

The universal simplicity of the instrument's fundamental qualities are what made them choose it. (Well, Link's Awakening probably helped, too, but they had options) The staggered fingering system reflects the N64 controller itself- or at least, the face buttons, depending on how many notes the specific ocarina is able to play. (which depends on size and voicing qualities) No chords or strumming, and you don't even need to change the angle or become vertical and linear visually like with a simple flute of the original Zelda. Just a comfortable one-to-one, that didn't take elaborate animations on the N64, back when hands were a scant 12 polygons or so. (before they started getting spicy with Majora's Mask, haha) IMO, there's really no shame in associating Ocarinas with Ocarina of Time, because the game doesn't portray any particular misgivings about the instrument, and the more you learn about the reason why its special to the game, the more you wind up learning about what makes the instrument itself so special. It quite literally is an exceptional instrument for an adventurer- incredibly portable and compact, and used to communicate to others through the spread of music, just like they would be used in real history. But if you do want more on the history of ocarinas IRL, I strongly suggest looking into how popular they were in Central America before European contact. They were apparently absolutely everywhere, often as little pendant necklaces in some urban areas. Just imagine literally everyone just... with an Ocarina.
Being someone who learned some 30 years ago to make wooden flutes, I found this fascinating. I incorporate the ocarina in my flute playing, they compliment each other. Good to see someone else using the electronic tuner and taking the time to get the pitches correct. Thank you sir for your gift and your talents

Rice husk magic only to be bettered by haunting Scarborough Fair! Just too amazing an experience watching this through!

From Chile. My congratulations. You are a complete artist. Thanks for sharing the make up and wonderful sound of your ocarines.
My chaotic art class buddy once tried to make an ocarina in our Ceramics class. It turned out not to be very good, but it was a really funny memory, watching him try to play it and all that came out was “fffff”, we all laughed so hard XD. I love ocarina, would love to own a nice one like these. Beautiful work
I cant believe how dedicated the Zelda fandom is, they actually made the instrument real!

Such a simple & beautiful instrument crafter to perfection; Love the sound!❤
My father fought in WW-II in the European theater and brought back a Dark blue Austrian Ocarina which I now have in my collection of his memorabilia. I have it as a keepsake and rarely bring it out to be played. I am assuming it is around 80 years old.
Beautiful art. Amazing artist. Amazing instrument. Beautiful sound and beautiful music ❤❤
they are very pretty when made and the sound surprised me. thank you for sharing your craft.

Immense respect for people that do this. You do something I can only wish of.
Ahh the memories, we used to do this at my art university, we had a ceramic and pottery class. We had to go out and find natural clay near our local river, they didn't want us to use the stuff from stores.
I have played these for years and I want to make them someday! It's so nice to see what equipment I will need and the process in general. The only thing I have not figured out yet is how these artists create their molds.
Brilliant Work, Brilliant Heart Touching Sound, I see 1st time this instrument, I never know this sound make by this instrument, Lovely. Thanks to add in my knowledge.
