The technique he used to give the bending shape was amazing. Excellent production quality as always. Happy New Year PX team!
Beautiful! A machine will never be able to match that skill and artistry. Amazing craftsmanship. ❤🎉
Beautiful craft manship. Thank you for sharing your customs with us.
It is truly art work that you have done. So beautiful and the history is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Absolutely lovely ❤ and the music is as wonderful to listen to as it is to watch these Masters create the Bows ! Thank you 🙏🙏🙏😸
We respect your work, culture and country. Love from Bharat (India)
From the process of making the bows to the ceremony and tradition of using them, this is a beautiful art. Such skill is required at each step, including the slow smoking process. Thank you for sharing! Your videos are relaxing even when they have large machines working, but this video was like 13 minutes of peaceful meditation!
Watching these gentlemen make this bow , they make it look so easy and simple. But I'm sure they have 1000's of hours training and making them. What amazes me is the simple stuff the get from the outdoors, I'd say 99% if it came from the woods when they started making them hundreds of years ago. And just think of the people that figured out how to make them in the beginning, just like with the Japanese swords, those people were just smart. That's about all I can say about them. Very well done gentlemen, very well done. Semper Fi from an old Marine
Love Japanese craftsmanship and culture. Hello from Austin, Texas
Japanese are always respect worthy for their involvement on everything in perfection.
This is like visual ASMR . I love watching ancient artistry.
Japanese take such pride in there work and the finish is to be completed to the best of there capability. Truly incredible
I don't care what people say, bamboo is the best wood and I love watching professionals ❤
No tables, no maschines. All with hands, and on the floor. Perfect japanese working.
This woodworking is absolutely brilliant - I love the special bench he has for planing the staves, and how he ties them together and creates pressure by driving in the wedges. It would be amazing to spend even a day learning from a bowyer like him. But maybe I can try some of these ideas for clamping in my own work
Such a beautiful video. To watch such a timeless art, from the creation of the instrument by such skilled hands to seeing how well it works is very impressive. Thank you very much for sharing!
a real pleasure for the eyes the serenity of the music.. bravo

A lot of traditional Japanese items were made from Bamboo due to its abundance and sturdiness. From weapons, to armor, buildings, plates, etc. Bamboo was used to make a lot of stuff like how Europe used wood
I have always loved and respected the quiet discipline and dedication to craftsmanship of the Japanese. Their work and worldview are an inspiration to us all!
I absolutely love japanese craftmanship. Honor and pride to make the absolute best quality. I hope that I will be able to visit Japan at least once in my lifetime.

Thank you!
Watching Japanese craftsmanship along with the beautiful music is unbelievably therapeutic. Many of these videos leave me in a "zen state of mind" !
As a kid I used to make bows from split bamboo as well, but they tended to crack over its length. Now I see where I made some fundamental mistakes, so thanks! It would be fantastic to know the approximate width of the core and edge strips. ❤
Really interesting! I'm impress each time when i view these kind of craftmanship. You have my respect. 🙏
You need to make an ARROW video too. Please show how they make the arrows. Thanks!
Excellent video. I also make traditional bows, especially horn composites. Your wrapping, wedges method is also very good for gluing horn bellies to the core.
The craftsmanship and artistry is staggering. A skill of true beauty. Thank you.

Enjoyable video, but the last scene with the Samurai-style shooting was supreme. I would watch a whole video of just that.
Such precision is incredible and beautiful to see!
Works of beauty and art made by master craftsmen and artisans. Wonderful to watch.
To watch a master craftsman work is absolutely amazing. Whether it’s wood carving or knife making, from any part of our world. A true craftsman is a person of great skill and dedication to the craft. USA 🇺🇸
Wow, true craftsman and impressive bows. Def annoys me that i lost my ability to speak an understand Japanese after a head injury an there isn't really anything local that i can immerse myself in again (as i have to do it as learning it doesn't stick) Thanks for the upload :)
Beautiful work I love watching these being made wish I could afford one ❤

I remember Arnold made something similar. It wasn't attractive, but it was functional.
Amazing art 🌿
🙏 A pleasure to watch.
Pengrajin yang inspiratif saya sangat suka, luar biasa,
Very cool start to finish - Japan you've got to train some younger samurais though!
In an other life, I will maybe master this fascinating archery skill.
I would love a bamboo surfboard made in this tradition!
Lord Varys, you did a great job.
VERY awesome! I think it would have been better to have someone narrating the process…you know, what and why they’re doing this/that, etc.
Was für ein Kunstwerk
Each and every step with patience and care. Learn to live life that.
That Bow String is alot stronger than it looks.. the Elder make it looks easy
Wow Amazing 😮 👏
Bloody good from Australia well done
