Personally I'd never use ANY dub for ANY foreign content (not just Japanese). Original voices or nothing. Every single dub sounds like a bootleg for me (and it's kinda like this, because it has nothing to do with what original creators worked on at all).

In fact, most of these characters come off as fusions of multiple characters from Danganronpa i.e. Zilch is Gundham in talent and voice (in Japanese) and Byakuya in appearance and personality.

This game is looking more and more intriguing as more stuff is shown. Sure, the antagonist being an evil corporation that is in control may be tired for some people but there's a reason why it works. Also the character design (a lot have their left eye covered, no one parts the other way) is good and voice actors seem to do a good job too. Really looking forward to this after sinking hundreds of hours into Tears of the Kingdom

Almost a whole year later and spoilers It's cool Martina was the only one willing to try to be a good person by the end of the game here Edit: swank was not included in this English ver of the trailer so I forgot about him also having both eyes shown, nvm but still cool most of them have at least one eye covered

Spike Chunsoft has really come a long way, I’m super pumped for this!

I may have yet to finish all 3 Danganronpa games on my Switch, and maybe soon I'll go after this one, because trust me, you have no idea how badly I need this game cause I go through a helluva lot of pain and suffering, not to mention despair, no matter how much I get distrustful around others such as myself.

Every trailer I see about this game makes me even more hyped! I can't wait to play!!

No... They are not... Most of the time the change made by localisator change phrases, changing the meaning of everything the character said. They do this because they want to add their joke, nothing more. You can see these people boast about how they "troll" people doing these things. Some time these people change the text so much that the character have a totaly different personnality.

You're completely wrong, It's all about dialogue censorship so yes, it's definitely about the target language. All this **** (dialogue censorship, culture washout etc) happens almost exclusively in "private actions", not in the main story though. I'm pretty sure that all other languages that have translations from the source (not from English) have no dialogue censorship or idiotic localization like English translation.

Looks great. Hope the soundtrack is as epic as the danganronpa games.

She honestly does look like a mix between adult Kyoko and Peko, she's got Kirigiri's appearance and Peko's thing of being the right hand of a boss.

Bad altered translations are mainly the faul of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dubs, because the subs that you get in 99% dubbed Japanese games are just 1:1 dub scripts. That's one of the reasons why I'm always trashing the dubs btw.

I still wonder why dual script is still not a standard. Just let people know the true dialogue and culture with faithful translation (literal is a wrong word to describe it) and second one for ignorant dub users who don't care because they just want to "waste thier time". Anime subs are done like this for decades already.

Not to mention that one route is completely missing in steam release. And the translation is pretty bad and awfully localized, but that's a common problem in Shiravune games. I put them on my blacklist. Too bad that yet another game was butchered by them. Let's just have a hope that fans will fix the translation and everything else. Remember to vote with your wallet.
