To add more comparisons to this, I think Shinigami ghost form looks like Whisper from Yo-Kai Watch. The music also reminds me of Akudama Drive, Kodaka’s anime project.

Considering how Spike Chunsoft just a few months ago basically confirmed more Danganronpa to be released, and considering how they roll out new games (Made in Abyss) despite being adaptations of other media like Manga and anime, we really shouldn’t be surprised that they keep coming up with new titles.

Love how it takes the danganronpa ideas and build them into their own That "that's wrong" pose is so great to see

I love the Detail that the main Protagonist has ahoge on his head. Not only a nice Detail to make clear that it's from the makers of danganronpa, but also good to see that they still give their Protagonist ahoges.

Never played any of the Danganrompa-esque games, but I greatly respect the art/design department. The character designs are always phenomenal.

Genuinely couldn’t recommend them enough. I’d say try the first one to see if you’re into it or not and if you are absolutely play the second one, it’s probably the most popular game in the series. V3 in my opinion is criminally underrated in every aspect and is my personal favorite of the series

I may not be as fond of the series as I used to be, but I'd still recommend trying it out. At least the first 2 games. I'd avoid V3 personally, but that's your call if you want to go through that or not. As for Ultra Despair Girls, give it a look to see if you'd be interested. It's definitely not for everyone, so keep that in mind.

Akudama Drive was very good! Personally felt it could've used a bit more episodes to flesh things out more, but games tend to be longer than shows so hopefully things will be more in depth. Tribe Nine on the other hand... was by definition an anime lol.

Same, but I'll remain cautious. I'm not as fond of Danganronpa as I used to be, and V3 was not a pleasant experience. Not to mention the various spinoffs, which I try to ignore. Still, I want to believe this will be good.

@@DerTomatenToaster I firmly disagree. I'm willing to say V3 has the strongest cast of the franchise, and the character writing itself is top notch, but its the story proper that loses me. At least it could be worse. Could be Danganronpa: Togami.

I love how they still have the same "No that's wrong!" pose when slashing through contradictions in this game

I love how Yuma has the typical Ahoge of a lot of Danaganronpa MCs. Kinda like their signature mark. I hope this is really good!

As a huge Danganronpa fan, this is really exciting! Can’t wait for this game to come out, seems like it has a bigger scope of the visual novel genre

I’m fricking love the vibes of this game! This sci-if looking town and being part of a detective agency, solving crimes. The crime-solving mechanic looks amazing and fresh, clearly inspired by Danganronpa, solving riddles and finding the truth. I cannot wait to play this!!!

When I see Spike Chunsoft, I know I’m in for an awesome game 😁. One of my favorite announcements of the Direct, can’t wait to hear more about this game!

I guess it’s possible yuma in a way has the personality of Makoto (as well as having an ahoge) yet he has Kyoko’s hair color and her talent so may it’s the two in an alternate universe where Junko just didn’t exist and therefore hope’s peak didn’t exist and they just met normally I don’t know I’m just guessing here lolololz 😅

@@MrAJJII and just like kyoko he’s an amnesiac and he probably forgot his real last name too because during parts of the trailer it shows his name as Yuma kokohead and there’s no way that’s his real last name that’s just too goofy like at his parents wedding were they just like I now pronounce you mr and ms kokohead though it could his real name because this is from the same writer who gave us a German kingdom run by the neverminds

Just hearing the OST in the trailer made a smile in the the face seeing that the team really is back on every level (mistery, design, OST, a pretty interesing way of resolving a crime, ect)

1:20 this is the part that got me truly excited

This was by far my favorite announcement from yesterday’s Nintendo Direct. Ever since I’ve started watching Danganronpa on KZread and beaten Trigger Happy Havoc, I’ve actually started to grow a lot more interested into anime-esque artstyle, anime, and mystery games in general. You betcha that I’m 100% getting this game and playing it. Another mystery game made by Spike Chunsoft? Yes please! The game itself also looks incredibly gorgeous too.

This game is almost like Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth + Danganronpa. But the game itself caught my attention. Gonna look into this one a bit more. And now I made myself want an Ace Attorney game where Edgeworth uses the power of an RPG game to battle his way to the truth.

Why so many people didn't notice this games from the direct? I mean this one of the interesting games and unique on a Direct!

It's been months since we seen any news/footage of this game. Pleasant surprise to see it in the direct. Can't wait to play it!

They had a lot of free time events XD But now seriously, Yuma is an obvious reference to Kyoko, i wouldn't be surprised if they make an actual reference to Kyoko in this game

Yuma is the Kyoko and Makoto's child. 0:22 - 0:26 and these are Shuichi's child, Miu's child, Kazuichi's child, Fuyuhiko in his 50s, and Chiaki reincarnated. No matter what the game says, this is my canon now.

This game looks so awesome, really love the Danganronpa series and this seems like a really interesting spiritual successor, I hope it isn’t exclusive to switch for to long though so as many people as possible can give it a shot

I doubt it’ll stay Switch exclusive for too long, as Danganronpa: Decadence eventually made its way to PS4. Super excited to play this game though, no matter what console it’s on

Huge Danganronpa fan here. I’ve been itching to play a murder mystery game for a while now. Between Rain Code and Tears of the Kingdom , Spring 2023 is looking great for the Nintendo Switch.

I literally forgot Rain Code was even announced years ago, when the trailer came out in 2021 I had already forgotten the name, saw the name "Rain Code" and just bounced off it conflating it wth any other game that had the word "Code" in it. Glad to have it actually ping my radar this time! I'm hype for new Kodaka!

I'm glad for that "launching first" at the end. I'm really intrigued by this game, but I don't intend to get a Switch anytime soon, so knowing it's not going to be an exclusive for that long reassures me
