Massive decaying 1890’s abandoned farmhouse. Explore #70
Massive decaying 1890’s abandoned farmhouse. Explore #70
Ontario, Canada
Down a very long driveway sits this massive abandoned farmhouse. The property has over 100 acres that also had a barn but was demolished. The originally house was built in 1890. Years later there was 3 additions added to the house. The additions included the wood and stone living room with large stone fireplace, kitchen, second bathroom, storage/mud room and a 3 car garage. The property used to have a horse boarding and ridding lesson business that operated from 1979 to 2014. Why it closed down is unknown. This house is on the historic list but I believe it will be demolished for new industrial buildings.

About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

Sometimes I wonder if the people who once lived in the houses you visit managed to find your videos and see how much it changed... Great video! What a wonderful place it must've been back in the day.

It is heartbreaking to see the house destroyed, you can imagine when it was new and furnished! Thanks for that record, I like your videos. São Paulo-Brasil
There must of been a large family living there for them to add 3 additions to this farmhouse. Great find! Thanks, 🌟😊

Actually it's believed the expansion took place in the 70s when the house was the base of the Moon Diamond cult. There was about 20-30 adults and children who lived there at various times. My uncle had spent some time there and had mentioned the orgies that went on but later turned into some weird stuff that he wasn't comfortable with... I guess the leader "Jim" started using manipulation on the women.
That fireplace in the great room is amazing. Shame it all deteriorated. Thank you for taking us along for the explore.
I always wanted to buy an old farmhouse and reno it. I love this one a lot!
Someone really took care of the home through the years, too bad someone damaged all the windows, what a loss. So sad. Thank you!
I am always a bit sad as you go through these homes that once had families living there. Memories for someone, hard to see it dilapidated.
I bet that house was amazing in it’s day. I absolutely love a big kitchen. Beautiful ceiling in the kitchen. Nice bathroom

Had to be a beautiful house back in its day. Was starting to wonder if there was a single chair in the house then there it was. Another awesome video you bring to us.
The drone footage adds so much - as does your background music. Thanks again, Brent!!
Damn those kids! LOVED the build ins, woodwork, wood cradle & wicked curved staircase that led to, what I’m sure, was a party spot.😉
If the walls could talk - there must be amazing stories. Stay safe!

Really beautiful house. Love all the builtins and woodtrim in the original part. Great closeup shot of the fireplace detail/paintpeel @ 22:42! That room at the back (original garage) would be an awesome art studio space!! The wood storage thingamajig next to the massive stone fireplace is a really cool idea!
Gorgeous woodwork with natural stain. I can see a good restoration happening and a family moving in.
Awesome!
Excellent video, very well done. I love the final review
Thank you so much for sharing :)
I love old houses and the architecture. I enjoy watching all your videos. The curling and peeling paint on the fireplace and door frames reminds me of stalagmites in caves.
Howdy from Arizona! Just started watching your vids and you are one of the best! Good exploring and will definitely follow for more.

That's a big house! I like the main house. Hi Brent!
That house had a lot of character. I'm sure it was stunning in its time. Loooove the fireplace and the little hatch was ingenious for the wood. Need that here. Lol 🥶 Thank you for sharing and bringing the home back to life for a brief moment. Best wishes. xx
That living room. I can just envision it decorated for Christmas. Thanks for the amazing explore it that home. I was shocked by the amount of decay in such a short amount of time. Very sad

Beautiful big home, well not so much now but once was.
So sad what a beautiful old home, the woodwork and floors are gorgeous, someone should restore this home.
That was an amazing home! Having closets like that in every bedroom is a bonus for a farmhouse! Strange how fast it is deteriorating. Hope someone can restore at least the original, looks like it has good bones! Ty for the tour!
Amazing video as always Brent. I had no idea there was so many abandoned homes in ontario. Be safe out there 💕🇨🇦
