Jaby, you forget that Vision was originally created to be Ultron's perfect form until it was taken by the Avengers. This is mostly likely an alternate universe version of Ultron where he succeeded and acquired all six Infinity Stones in the process. Also, this was such a fun and hilarious "What If...?" episode, and I absolutely loved the fight between Party Thor and Captain Marvel.

But the thing is Stark thought of creating Ultron after the Avengers vs loki in Avengers 1...but here loki is completely different so surely he wouldn't have attacked earth and Tony wouldn't have thought of creating Ultron in first place

That's not vision - it's just ultron who was successful in uploading himself into that synthetic body like he was attempting to do in Age of Ultron. Also, the episodes are jumbled up because marvel/fiege needed to do something to give the show more traction in the early few weeks than what it was getting. The leaked episode order on reddit before the show even started airing had Party Thor at episode 5 and zombies at 7. They swapped the episodes around.

This series was originally made for needs that did not happen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. this episode was laughing a lot. But they made us see what if Thor the only son of Odin, we saw that his beginning was someone who wanted to party like any young man So this is what will happen to Thor as his beginning.

It’s because he came from a different multiverse. Infinite Ultron isn’t supposed to be there. That’s why the watcher will end up interfering.

FYI: Ultron provided vision's body. Tony just put Jarvis in it. Here, without the help of Thor, Tony was not able to do that so Ultron took over it. Now the thing is, Age of Ultron is far after Thor 1, so how did this happen. Remember, Avengers crisis didn't happen in this universe, so it gave Tony that time fast enough, so he made Ultron and we all know after that

I can't think of any reason to believe this episode has to take place at the same time as the first Thor movie.

In this universe , I’m guessing Odin never had to put the spell on thor’s hammer. Therefore Thor being able to use it doesn’t necessarily mean he is ‘worthy’ at this moment

This combo of vision and ultron is definitely from different universe. I am saying this after seeing the reaction of the watcher in the end. The watcher was also surprised.

About Thor having this galactic army, we need to remember those who came at this party were not his actual friends they were just there to party. Also they stayed to help because Thor told them that his mother is coming so that was kinda out of fear.

Thor wasn't needed to bring Vision to life. It's just that the power to Tony's set up was cut, so Thor provided electricity. But... Ultron was Tony's answer to an invasion from space, and that's what Party Thor was, an invasion from space. So Tony built Ultron, and without the Avengers to stop Ultron, it goes rogue and takes over the body of the character we know as Vision. It was Ultron in the closing scene -- Infinity Stone Ultron. That's the real party-pooper

I think Ultra-Vision is from the future of this timeline, and is time travelling in order to conquer it.

I've a feeling Season 1 will just leave things on a cliffhanger. Like Loki S1.

I think with Captain Marvel, we just don’t see much of Carol as opposed to the Captain. If we can get more of the Carol that Maria and Monica knew, I think it would flesh her out in the movies. I think we might get that in The Marvels.

Something some of you might’ve picked up was the tattoos that Jane and Thor got were magic and science and when they put their arms together, it actually reminded me of Thor 1 when Thor told Jane, “you call it science, I call it magic. I come from a world where both are the same thing.”

This was my favorite episode! Nobody was killed or anything, it was just all about Thor being a PARTY DUDE!!!😂

This episode felt like John Lennon's Imagine- Everyone were living in peace (except Ultron may be)

Okay, but can we talk about how Coulson has a "party atmosphere" global detector? Long before the song "Closing Time" came out, the refrain "you don't have to go home but you can't stay here" was already a common bartender call-out.

In some multiverse ultron successfully transfer himself in visions body. And collects all the infinity stones. So now he is invading multiverses.

I never expected this episode to be such a masterpiece. I really enjoyed this episode. 👌🏾💯

I mean I get that Thor is not that bright but SHIELD resorting to violence and using the one-dimensional OP anti-man deus ex machina that is Captain Marvel was risky. What if Thor blew his cool and everyone turned against SHIELD? Not smart. Definitely agree with Jaby, the destruction should have come before Captain Marvel was called. Then it would feel like she was angry for a reason rather than just being a bitchy Captain Killjoy resorting to violence from the get go.

This episode was absolutely bonkers and leaned so far into its wildness that I couldn't help but appreciate the comedy in it. It was way more than I expected it would be, way more than any episode I've seen so far.

The vision in ultron is the reason for the crossover in the end

My theory is that Vision-Ultron is the main baddie of the series, and he’s infiltrating other universes. He’s gonna start attacking this other “universes” that we’ve seen so far, and the Watcher is gonna unite these characters to fight against him and his army.

If you notice from the promotion and merchandise, the plan always seemed to lead to the multiverse colliding. The anthology part was just assumed by the audience I don't think anyone at Marvel ever said that.

It's Ultron! Remember? Ultron created that body for himself. Also, Thor chose to knock down Stonehedge by his own volition. He consciously made the decision to do it. It's not Captain Marvel's fault.

Ultron was successful in creating perfect form he always wanted in this timeline

You are wrong because tony stark didn't create vision. Ultron created vision as a body of him and this is Ultron vision with stones

The only thing established in Loki is that the stones don’t work in the TVA, never was it established at any point in the MCU that stones can’t work in other universes, as of right now it’s just that way in the comics. Even more to that, in endgame they used stones from other universes (timelines).

Wait wait the hell!! When Ultron comes from a portal I think he used a space stone, he's from another world and travels across worlds to destroy them. It is possible that he is the main villain in the entire series, so the Avengers gather from all the worlds that we have seen and fight him in one world, it is possible that the Witcher saves Thor from the destruction of his world.

I can't wait to see the behind the scenes of this series hopefully seeing the actors talk about playing their character in a whole new way.

I feel like many of these stories were set up as "hey Marvel writers, do a 'genre' piece." Someone write a zombie episode. Someone write a "Weird Science, Hangover" buddy/party romp. Someone write a murder mystery piece. I feel like a lot of these are "if Marvel were _____ genre."

I absolutely love this take on it! But then I like genres being blended.

After so many depressing and serious episodes it was cool to have one that was chill and a ton of fun, it shows the different levels and depths the mcu can have, apart from the ending with Ultron Vision the rest of it was awesome imo and the fact that many are complaining that it was ‘too funny’ and there was ‘no seriousness’ is just pathetic and ridiculous

Why was Carol not able to stand up when Thor dropped Mjolnir on her? It wasn't enchanted, in the M.C.U. it happened because Loki and Thor going against their father's will. So what happened in this reality, that Odin put the enchantment?

The theory I read is that the Watcher was actually surprised, for the first time, that ultron!vision showed up, so basically is as if the timelines are merging and this vision!ultron is not even from this timeline. Probably because of what we watched at the end of Loki.

“Why shouldn’t she be worthy?” Have you read the comics?

The hammer would not have the worthy enchantment in this universe, so anyone (at least those with super strength) should be able to pick it up.

Jane was studying the end of a Galaxy at the beginning of the episode trying to figure out what destroyed it. As Thor was closing on Vegas Jane was seeing the same readings show up on her instruments which is why she was calling Shield. The party's escalated as they went along so if Frigga had not showed up then they would have destroyed us in the end.

Ultron created the body that became Vision. He was in the process of uploading his mind into he body but the Avengers showed up and stole the body. That’s when Tony and Brice started to put JARVIS’ mind into that new body.

Shield said that Thors Party destroyed the last planet. Thats why they called the cops (Capt Marvel)

That's basically Thor 1 In Happy Mode lmao

In the comics, it was Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man, who created Ultron and recent episodes of WHAT IF have been showing how powerful and dangerous Hank Pym can be. Yeah, the danger to the planet(s) was the slow destruction caused by all these powerful aliens partying like rock stars destroying a hotel room or teenagers partying destroy a house when the parents were away. The whole episode is modelled after movies about teens trashing a house while the parents are away that were popular in the 70s and 80s and popped up in the 90s and 2000s. Thor was popular with good guys and bad guys because they all liked to party but otherwise they had no personal bond with Thor other than his surface level charisma. It was only after Thor put the Fear of Mom into them was he able to convince them to help clean up.

fr, it was just fun to watch even seeing Captain Marvel and Thor was pretty cool

It felt like an episode of Phineas & Ferb but he gets caught in the end.

It was an 80s party bro movie on a superhero scale. It was fun, and it was meant to be fun. Well, it was meant then be fun except for the ending. I wonder if that ending isn't going to shape future episodes

Of course Carol would not have stood a chance against all of those characters with Thor, but it would also destroy the whole planet. I guess, Thor did not want to do that again, after destroying a planet for partying before. I'm pretty sure that just a few characters like Loki, Surtur, etc could have easily smashed Captain Marvel if they joined with Thor.

2:05 he is not worthy. Odin put the worthiness on the hammer, before banishing him. In the ep he was in his Odin sleep. Odin probably didnt scold him in this universe.

Like Jaby told Thor had made a contribution to the origin of Vision in the MCU but the most important element of Vision is the mind stone which was obtained from Loki's Sceptre, so that's another question to ask since Loki got no Sceptre and didn't invade Earth for him to lose it.

I loved brie Larson as captain Marvel. I don't understand why there's a problem with her depiction. Captain Marvel is a very hardass character even in comics.

Vision was made by ultron , he was supposed to be ultrons final body . So in this version ultron was able to use visions body as his final body and used his old body as armor with the Infinity stones in it . Only think Tony did is upload Jarvis into him and Thor brought him to life .

Jaby, it isn't Thor's army...they are partygoers just wanting party a destructive party but a party nonetheless so if Cap Marvel came to fight Thor...they would be like the kids that see a fight coming and they would say " Fight, Fight, Fight!" They just watch the fight as it would be part of the party so they wouldn't fight on Thor's say so. They didn't even try to help him clean because they are there to party.

remember back in AOU, Ultron created the synthezoid body to be his perfect form. but before he could transfer his mind into the body, it was taken by the Avengers which led to Tony inserting Jarvis into the body and it becoming vision. This is most likely a "What if Ultron did succeed in transferring his mind into that body?" scenario. So, since Ultron succeed, Vision never came to be, and since the body is almost indestructible and imbued with the mind stone, Ultron probably killed the avengers of his world and conquer that world. and since he has the infinity stones, he probably also killed thanos and now are expanding his conquest to other worlds.

I mean technically Ultron created the Vision’s body to be his last incarnation… so it makes total sense that, in another reality, Ultron reached his last form of evolution, which was after all his goal, and then went up against Thanos as he would be the ruler of Earth when the mad Titan arrived. Presumably he won, took the infinity stones and is now conquering the multiverse. Why did no one pay attention to the best Avengers film?? I thought some of Jaby’s criticism is unfair here. They established earlier in the episode that Thor destroyed a planet with his partying… also assuming these realities are going to crossover their big bads this could get pretty dark; makes sense to have some fun before the fireworks

Hank was the original maker of Ultron, so that's why in the universe you see him, in the MCU they changed it

If you watch the age of Ultron movie again, vision was being created by Ultron and he(Ultron) wanted to upload his consciousness into vision (the whole cradle scene) when avengers come in, take away Ultron's vision and make it their own version of vision with the help of thor.

Well he probably might have took vision before thors vision in that case the heroes of that universe might have failed to stop him and he succeeded in becoming vision and probably infinity war in that time might have happened but ultron defeated Thanos and all of the heroes and became infinite ultron

Ultron was ment to become. vision was just made from him when they altered his mind to neutral/good with jarvis.
