So you guys generally picked up on many Easter eggs, but missed one: the shield that Romanoff wields (unintended, I promise!) is not Cap's shield, it's the Red Guard shield, the Soviet anti Cap America figure. That is supposed to be Natasha's adoptive dad, so she inheriting her Dad's shield in a way. A cool detail to an amazing episode.

@@souravdas2066 If he wasn't on death's door and severely injured when he firsts see Thanos in Wakanda, he may have been able to. He couldn't even walk on his own.

The fact that he didn’t even let Thanos speak, ask who he was, and let thanos do his thing before he counters it makes him a better villain

Keep this in mind, though. When Strange was looking at all the possibilities in Infinity Gauntlet and only found one solution, he made it a point to make sure Tony was spared. Even then, Tony almost died of starvation on the ship he was stranded on. That said, Tony's survival at the right moment, might be why the universe succeeds. He still died in Endgame, so it's an inevitable balance.

It's the possibility with the one Tony didnt die in space. There were probably few possiblity that he was spared by thanos, but died in space, or died during the thanos bombardment of the avengers compound, and others.

I lowkey want a What If Tony wants revenge against Ten Rings? (because Ten Rings was the crime organization paid by Obadiah to keep Tony in the cave) where Tony fights Wenwu but considering Shangchi is fairly new and by the time What If s2 comes out, they'd probably focus on new heroes, it'll just be a dream of mine :'D

And thats where you are wrong...MCU nerfed him a lot but the comic book Thanos in his prime would even kill this Ultron without blinking an eye. Thanos stopped tye Phoenix force with no stones or gauntlet plua he i the only onw to take the full might of the HOTU yet come out without a scratch. Comic Thanos is too strong for MCU or Ultron Vision or anyone else. I mean Mephisto, the devil himself was afraid of Thanos in the Gauntlet saga.

The title said "Age of Ultron" whereas it was more like a 'week of Ultron' tops. We can never see Ultron's true potential until they allow him to WIN a little as they did in this episode. The implications of what would happen if he won are mind blowing.

I like how Ultron killed Thanos in a sec and the avengers took 2 movies, I had the same reaction Jaby "NO WAY!!!"...but I gotta admit this was a great episode...

If I remember correctly, Hawkeye has a fuck-ton of arrows in his quiver through the use of Pym tech to store them.

I don't remember Pym tech being brought up alongside Hawkeye's tech in the movies.... which makes sense because MCU Pym distrusted S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Starks.

He'll have to ask Strange Supreme, who will look through millions of outcomes through the Time Stone, and finally come up with a weird combination of heroes from various timelines who are the only ones who united have a chance to stop Ultron from destroying all life in all the timelines. Yep.

I missed James’ voice as well. That distain and aloofness really would have been even more powerful in this episode.

Up until just now, I've been like "that substitute voice actor sounds perfect!" With Ultron, this was the first episode that I was like "they don't quite capture that jenesequa of the original actor." There's just something about Spader's delivery that apparently can't be replicated.

23:00 - the chewing on the planet/universe was just an Easter egg/tip of the hat to Galactus and nothing more.

Someone in the comments on another reaction video described this series with the perfect analogy. I can't remember their username or what video it was on, so apologies to them for lack of credit. But basically, The Watcher is effectively in a library, with each universe as one book on a shelf. He's been reading all the books, and then last episode during Party Thor's story, suddenly he "read" about Ultron coming in. Which was an unexpected crossover for him, so he decided to find out what universe -- what "story" -- this Ultron came from. That's why he started this episode in the Ultron-verse. And he doesn't know what will happen until he "reads" about it, which is why he narrated Ultron's ascendancy the way he did: "...he became aware of the W-- huh?!" It's basically like if Jaby was reading a book, and got to a part that said, "...he became aware of Jaby Koay reading this book right now, and he sees you." The character in his story was suddenly breaking the fourth wall and making his way into the library, into the "real world", set to burn it down. And that's terrifying.

yeah I think no matter what, Tony has to die, but the different thing from the movies/sacred timeline is Tony died because he sacrified himself, he made the great sacrifice to save Earth. But in the What If series we always saw Tony died before even Thanos showed up based on the timelines of each episodes and we always got a destroyed Earth or bad ending everytime he dies, I think that Tony was always the key to save Earth.

Im ngl I always wanted an comic ultron In some kind of animation or a movie. I got the movie but ultron what was much weaker than the comic version I mean the comic version Flew over the space In 3 months what wuold mean (some random guys calculated it) hes faster than the speed of Light and he has been much More op than this ultron if they had the infinity Stones afc or even with out but still happy To see him In the what if

Favorite Parts: 3:45-4:03 I am glad that I am not the only one who was completely shocked at seeing Ultron slice up Thanos like a PB&J sandwich in a mere few seconds. 11:39-11:43 Even in alternate universes, I still love Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow for being such a poser. Also, this episode was so freaking insane, especially the fight between the Watcher and Infinite Ultron. After this episode, I am absolutely hyped for the Season 1 finale next week.

That's not his programming that he sensed the presence of the watcher, that's from the infinity stones. Having all the stones gives the weilder cosmic awareness.

Your arguments and discussion after watching these episodes were so fun. I love listening to both of you.

Are eternals that powerful? I don't think they are universal, let alone multiverse. Ancient one has already passed away and they say Doctor strange even the normal one is more powerful or will be more powerful than her. And even strange supreme alone cannot deal with that. Living Tribunal, Celestials yes I believe so. Maybe it havent happen long enough for them to take action. Living Tribunal can intervene if the watcher failed.

Thanos's intentions and power makes him a Puny Deviant in front of Ultron's intentions and power. Wow, I thought Ultron had potential, but not on a Multiversal scale like this.

This episode has left lots of unanswered questions and much more as compared to MCU phase 3. - How did Thanos in this reality got soul stone and time stone? - Thanos would have already destroyed Xandar. Why did Ultron destroy it again ? - Why did Ultron kept on destroying multiple planets? Couldn't he have just snapped like Thanos ?

Soul Stone - he just has to find Nebula and Gamora like usual Time Stone - go to the location where Sorcerer Strange used to be, take the Time Stone from his corpse Xandar - no idea, perhaps Ultron showed up while they were rebuilding from Thanos' attack? Ultron had leftover Tony code, where Ultron had to be present to perform the destruction

The Watcher’s progressive character development is a fascinating thing in this show. To go from a being where we do see his face just his eyes to a character that shows so much emotion on his face because he wants the lives of the multiverse to be saved is just amazing story writing. Can’t wait for the next episode.

Only thing I don't like is that the comic Watcher speaks very formally. His enunciation is "weighty" and profound. He doesn't swear; doesn't use contractions; doesn't get overly emotional; doesn't talk like you & me. I think he loses some of his dignity/majesty by speaking like common folk.

15:30 - The voice actors might have did their recordings for multiple episodes in 1 go instead of returning for each take. Josh Brolin did voice Thanos for T'Challa-StarLord episode.

This episode is the best what if episode. Really enjoyed watching it, shorter but gave out a lot about the watcher and how powerful the stones can be in the non TVA dimensions.

This episode was very incredible! I love the Hawkeye of this Universe and his powerful arrows and great sacrifice. I understand what only Black Widow is alive. Ultron is amazing, creepy and almighty...

The Watcher exists outside of time and is Omni-Present which means he observes multiple timelines at the same time. This is partly why he was surprised by Ultron (in the last episode), who had by that point attained a similar state of being to the Watcher and told him he would find him. This should not be possible, but it appears the stones have allowed Ultron's already incredible mind to evolve even further. Remember the watcher talks about these episodes in the past tense at the beginning of every single one, and then as the episode progresses he can change to present tense and sometimes he states future inevitability. Our general perception of time doesn't apply to him and now Ultron. I think the next episode will also add more clarity

I'm guessing the Infinity Stones work differently in the cinematic universe. In the comics the Infinity Stones only worked in the universe they came from.

Clint death was necassary although i didnt want him to die. The reason im saying this because natasha literally had no time to pull clint up and let him shoot the arrow and upon that ultron army could fly. They were in middle of container and if clint shoots while both of them still in container then even natasha and zola would have died.

I wish this was live action too. We need a mega ultron in the MCU perhaps.

If they wanted to give Thanos a speaking part they could have. Dispatching Thanos right away was much more powerful, and you can see how big of a move it was rewatching your own reactions. I loved it. Sure, I would have loved to have seen Ultron and Thanos throw down, but that would have taken time from these already short runtimes. We got to see Uatu throw down, so we did get to see a pretty epic fight, and it was one I think many of us didn't know we needed. How did you guys stay away from the Hyundai What if...? commercial that's been out for at least a month? This moment or the crossover was teased in it, in the mid-season commercial too. Next week is going to be awesome! I cannot wait!

The Ultron in this episode would've sounded way more menacing had James Spader done the voicing... He's the perfect Ultron 😍

I'm completely with you Jaby. Ross Marquand was great but the only disappointing thing to me was that Ultron wasn't voiced by James Spader. It would be cool to see this version of Ultron/Galactus in live action too but I'm really looking forward to this finale.

I so wanted James Spader and Jeffrey Wright exchange verbal as well as physical blows... it could've been an episode in itself.

The thing is vision hold back on the complete use of the mind stone, but Ultron used it to its full potential, because he has no concern for preservation of life.

As much as I wanna have a longer episode, but they did it with Wandavision with only 25-30 mins per episode because More episodes means runtime is shorter than most shows. Its basically a runtime of an anime episode. If they made it longer.. they will shorten the episode length from 9 to either 6 or 5.

What if our universe is one of the universes in the multiverse? I would have loved to see our universe shown in either What If or Multiverse of Madness, or something. Imagine if they briefly land in our world, even if it's just for a couple of seconds. That would be awesome.

That chewing thing scene, i think they are trying to combine ultron and galactus , same like they combined he who remains and kang in Loki, i think this could be a lead to eternals

That was not Ultron chewing the planet,it was galactus chewing some planet in some other universe we see him first time in MCU ❤️❤️ that was a epic moment ,you will know more about galactus from eric voss tomorrow

I love this ep, it’s a good one. But there is still one thing linger in my mind. In AOU, we saw that Ultron’s purpose is to bring peace, right? There is a specific line in AOU when Ultron talk to Tony: “I think you’re confusing peace with quiet”. So Ultron created Vision to be “the first of a new kind of being” and he’s gonna conquer the world to replace other beings with his. But after seeing Ultron here, especially the scene when he sit on top of Avenger Tower, showed that he want “quiet” more than “peace”. What does peace mean when you are just destroying every planet in the universe?

Can someone explain how did thanos get the time stone in this universe timeline shouldn’t the ancient one have it at this point like did he beat the ancient one or something because during age of ultron strange was still a surgeon so like I’m confused

In one scene in Loki, TVA agent had some infinity stones (kept in a drawer or somewhere) which were useless... Loki was powerless too... How come ultron got so powerful inside the "space" (don't know what will you call that) where Kang was present and was watching everything...
