What do you think of the off road capabilities of the Grand Vitara?

I feel Grand Vitara is much more fuel efficient than Hyryder…. Due to tuning… and sadly no hard cover for sunroof. with this cover light would come in. Additionally, wish govt considers Hybrid as a less emission vehicle and offer some benefits…all the diesel variants are being closed so hybrid is the next near future

The never ending grin on Sirish's face when he was driving 1.5 Smart Hybrid, says it all.

I believe sales of Grand Vitara AWD are highly correlated with starting of the Raid de Himalaya rally again. Secondly, Maruti has an uphill task to educate a huge number of Indians on upskilling about AWD systems on both consumer and mechanic ends.

A 29-minute long Evo India review - this is what we're here for. An absolute enthusiast's delight, tells you so much more than the under 10-minute videos by other channels (hint hint).

Seems like an overhaul of the MS strategy, really excited for this. It's high time India gets good hybrid powertrains. 10/10 would pick this over the competition

Another channel has done a mileage test and they have claimed that the strong hybrid version is capable to be driven for 1200 kms in a single full tank. If that's true, this is a no brainer. A full EV mode with the peace of mind of having an NA Petrol engine at your disposal. Should sell like hot cakes! Looks Macho & Stunning!

Excellent review. To the core as technical as it could get. You are so HONEST. Brutal on key points and praising the good bits. Loved the new editing techniques and music. But please reposition the mic. Its disturbing. There is a brushing sound everytime when there is a pothole or speed breaker. Loved your content. As for the smart connectivity, it's a miss eveytime wherever the car is. Hardly works.

2nd comment..!! The name Grand Vitara reminds me of the OG SUV launched a decade back. Though the car is capable but I feel some more power is needed..

Imagining a four cyllinder Grand Vitara, with cyllinder deactivation tech, EV Mode, AWD, and a fantastic 6 Speed Automatic Gearbox. - stuff dreams are made of. Maruti-Suzuki, you came this close, to make a perfect SUV.

i think that the awd in the manual also helps in uplifting it's driving feel

With the Hill Hold system after brake on the steep slope shouldn't you be climbing up but all you reviewers are slipping down, what's the use of this system then? Is the car under power to climb the slope after breaking in the middle?

How is the low end torque? Will it do well in bumper to bumper traffic?

Not a moment too soon @marutisuzuki. If I were going on long drives, which I do often, I’d anyway prefer a hybrid or mild hybrid than an outright electric. I would’ve loved to see a little more power but still looks good. Thanks @evoindia

Is the almost 1.8 lac price difference between zeta plus and alpha plus variant justified ? HUD, 360 camera, ventilated seats and wireless charging are the only features which separates the 2 variants.

How do you think the AWD will do on the road for a drive experience?

Wonder if Sirish got a chance to sit in the rear of the GV while driving over a speed breaker/bad roads.

Can the Grand Vitara AWD variant be a good replacement for a 2016 Duster RXZ AWD? I dont think there is any substitute for the Duster AWD since it went off the market.

Game changer feature AWD

Looks good for an upgrade. Never been a great fan of features which in majority of cases are not used. Want good engine which is reliable efficient and easy on pocket to maintain.

At 21.53 there is an error, the mild hybrid gets a 5 speed manual similar to the Brezza, and not a 6 speed manual.

Maruti should have given the AWD with that 6AT. That's a big miss. And hopefully they will correct this soon!! And fingers crossed that they don't do this 'shooting own foot' with the Jimny.

Do both mild and full hybrid have the same 1.5l three cylinder engines ?

this is not an off road car but because of AWD can do mild off road if needed no body over frame so it's not loose as it needs to be and no double wishbon suspension and no 4x4 but AWD and obviously low torque which is not good for off road

I think it's a missed opportunity by maruti suzuki to not name their awd variant as zypsy,such an iconic name

The Gypsy name is definitely reserved for the Jimny, which will come out very soon

So the Maruti's strong hybrid will be priced equivalent to the Toyota, the mild hybrid will be cheaper.

I didn't like the new design of MS Grand vitara!! You tube is full of videos, claiming 'earlier' version will come to India!!( Most probably the videos were from far east countries)! Company gave all you tubers a great surprise!! Grand vitara's earlier ( First model) was so expensive, that this 2022 model will cost the same!!

Test drive this and later on the Taigun. Taigun had my heart the second I drove it. If you want something with amazing drivability and comfort, go for Taigun. It’s fab!

The AWD should have come with the 1.4 Booster Jet and appeal to the enthusiasts. It is neither efficient nor powerful. A wonderful opportunity wasted by MS
