@CyrusDhabar, have you tested the AllGrip version in its sport mode? I have been driving one for the past year and am blown away by its acceleration, especially from a traffic light, when all I see of the other vehicles are small specks in the RVM. Cheers.

Forget that, the 1.4 boosterjet would transform this car....nd they already have that....but ofc they won't bring it here....atleast with this car they shudv localised that engine

The way of life has changed. Suzuki's one engine is the solution to bring down the turbo petrol cars available in India. They fear it will bump the price tag but people are already paying Rs.14L for the i20 N-Line and that's just a 1.0L engine. If the Grand Vitara would've come with the 1.4 booster jet engine it would've given the Creta/Seltos a run for their money. Honestly i was really anticipating about the new S-Cross but somehow our country has it's own habits of dealing with new things.

True....and maybe it's not bout the costs but just a strategy to prioritise developed markets (Europe) than india....they need to differentiate the Indian Vitara so that Europeans don't feel they r getting the same treatment as developing markets Or maybe they're just apprehensive about the efficiency....ppl in india r obsessed with mileage.... everyone wants more performance but nobody wants a Maruti with less mileage Imagine vitara with 1.4 boosterjet nd 6MT/AT torque converter.....better reliability than the Koreans nd as good performance if not better

I cancelled booking for absence of ventilated seats, heads up display, wireless charger, powered adjustable seats, less boot space, poor door n roof roll quality n because of under power engine of top mild automatic. other wise I did like car .. so ultimately booked creta.. for same price with all these features..

The manual variant isn't that terrible in terms of acceleration. In the Brezza Zxi, if we work the gears a bit, the engine does deliver.

Brezza is a much lighter/smaller car than Grand Vitara. In this case the engine is too weak for this car.

Can we bring the old pd back?

The fabric cover for the panoramic sunroof feels very cheap and is basically translucent in Indian summers. Also the headroom for rear passengers is limited.

Took a TD of the mild hybrid manual. The car has stiff ride, and a heavy feel for a maruti. But it's lethargic on the point of being a pain. Overtaking needs careful planning and quick shift through the gears. Camera resolution is entry level. Would love to see the car with the excellent 1.5 maruti diesel.

A diesel engine would be a game changer

There should be a 1.6 diesel in this car

It's not us but the taxes, 50% of the price is just tax. It still blows my mind how brands are able to pull of these cars under such low price.

I bought delta AT and it is very good. Don't trust these guys. It's a very good family car. We are not going for any formula racing.

Severely Underpowered

Overpriced bullshit... Is it safe or has good build quality?? Does it ride and handle well?? Does it have a good interior?? Does it have a good powerful and enthusiastic engine??? All Maruti offers is 30kmpl mileage... And the OG Grand Vitara is always better than this renamed S Cross... And by saying this, don't be misleaded that I'm a Tata fanboy... I'm neutral...

Why don't u find answers urself instead of passing such an extreme verdict. If it's an 'overpriced bullshit' , then hav u driven it around?? Hav u spent time with its interiors?? Have u driven it on open stretches or highways to check whether engine is enthusiastic?? Nd no Maruti offers much more than mileage especially for a layman that's why it sells.... As for d OG GV, that was in a different segment so no point comparing....
