16:20 I don't think he's chosen to not build upgrades. Pretty sure he just forgot about them. Why am I so confident about it? Well, after you watch a lot of Maru games you will realize that he forgets them very often, like in 20-30% of his official matches his 2-2 always late because he forgot to start them or even forgot to build armory. This is especially funny when tournaments have webcams: every time he forgets upgrades he makes a big sigh and surprised Pikachu face when he finally finds out that he's not upgrading for the last 2 minutes.

Yes! I was waiting for this! One thing to note is his lesser viking count. Besides, the obvious of not having infinite supply, he only seems to make enough so he can one shot a viking or a raven. And he can get a way with it because he doesn't care about trading, only zoning. I haven't rewatched the matches with Clem and Cure but I'm pretty sure Maru made the same decision overall.

How about analysing TY vs DRG? That was damn impressive.

Anti armor missile in marine vs marine is insane. 9 dmg vs 0 armor 6 dmg vs 3 armor is +3 damage which is an increase of 50% in marine dps.

Bro Maru vs Clem was so epic . You should anaylise that one too

Why does Maru go for +3 mech att after +2 finish ? I mean, +2att give one shot on Stim marine, but +3 doesn't add something big. Upgrade defense or air att wouldn't be better ? (Sorry my english is approfimative) I also discover that tank which engage on the right will have the first hit, due to the siege animation

I wish I could finally achieve a level of play where tiny things matter and im so used to playing the game that strategy and observing occupies the most part of my mind instead of struggling to deal with 2 helions xD

One question, you once didn't build vikings when behind in TvT. Pure Tank, Marine, Medivac. I think it was in DH. What was the decision making behind that? Greetings

Oh dont worry! Ive watched it at least three times already! But I wonder if this 10 Raven style would do well vs Thor / Mass Viking / BC mech late game compositions. Also, the mech army would usually have more tanks, so would that make it hard to matrix enough of them to take a fight?

What about 2 ghosts with an emp upgrade vs 10 ravens' mana?

For me TvT is the most complicated MatchUp I struggle with it and doesn`t find a way to manage it. Especially with such low APM as me in lower leagues when you can`t control different control groups of armies. For example Ravens and Marines not in the same group. I have a lot of problems, because there isn`t an easy way for a build order like in the other matchups... Feelz bad

This GSL final will be insane. TvT from the two best TvT-ers in the world

is maru always using f2? Around 15:00 he doesnt have his whole army keybound anywhere, but seems to keep selecting it

he's f2ing a lot in late game... I was shocked by it when I was watching his streams... usually he only has something like ghosts or some other tech units hotkeyed and f2s everything else

Your reverence for Maru is too cute.

This is a very cool style for tvt but as I was watching, I keep wondering how to hotkey efficiently for this army. There's so many different unit types going on here

Ravens and Vikings together most likely, using tab to select Vikings if you need to land them for some reason

Btw Innovation made the sensor tower the same way like Maru, there must be something to it...

Marus style kinda feels like attacking fast to lategame.

play like Maru is damn difficult, that army comp he uses is super hard to control

As a terran player I am glad they got rid of it to be honest...like old WoL Ravens were honestly pretty busted in terms of versatility between eating missile typed attacks and just yeeting clumps of units into a blender. Or being able to drop your turrets half way across the map...fun to do against someone else, but really little real counter play if it happened to you outside of killing the turret and the raven wasting a bit of energy

HA HA HAHA one does not simply "play like Maru" my friend.

1 Marine = 50 Minerals, 18k Resources = 5Million Marines
