I think it’s their energy that is intoxicating. Their both perfect at what they do and then the joy they have when their performing makes you feel more joyous. And the laughs are sprinkled along the way.
Dean's reactions are priceless.
His laughter at 2:08 I just fucking can't.
Loved the part where Jerry is taking off Dean's shoes.
The movies simply don't give these guys justice
From 4:50 on it hysterical!! “Jokes are jokes but I’m drowning” Read a little faster will ya” “Haven’t you heard? The feud is over!” Priceless!!

1:18 That's my favorite sketch and my favorite part of it. God, my sides are in pain
Dean's reactions are the best!!!!
"Haven't you heard? The feud is over!" is both funny and heartbreaking at the same time. To know while they were doing this episode they were no longer on speaking terms offstage changes how i watch anything they did in 56.

Actually they were on speaking terms seen together many times, why both of them continued the myth about not speaking is very confusing. Certainly more to the story then told by either Martin or Lewis. Even on the last movie there is private film taken of them joking around like buddies. Something went down but not what the public was led to believe. Remember all the night clubs were mob owned. We will never know, but the film footage of these 2 guys together does not lie. They both really loved each other and it was that love that built the act.
I love Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin
Jerry taking off Dean's shoes is the funniest bit.
3:10, you can hear the camera man laughing I think. Or the boom guy? So funny. Funnier than some of the episodes where there aren't any bloopers. Best part of the Colgate hour are these bloopers! Where did you find them in the first place? Gems!

Because the show was live, they had to leave in any mistakes, so if you watch the full episodes carefully you will see bloopers and ad-libs dotted about! I just wanted to compile them together because I felt they were lacking the appreciation they should get. Enjoy! xxxx

Deise Simões That was Ed Sullivan, who hosted the Toast Of The Town Show on CBS opposite the Colgate Comedy Hour. I believe that the Martin and Lewis episodes of CCH were the only shows that could beat Sullivan in the ratings.
Lewis was flat out stupid. What Dean had to put up with for money. Sheesh.
