What fun these two had in these early days. Their chemistry just pierces the screen, reaches out and grabs you and pulls you in to their wonderful, zany, nonsense. They were just absolutely beautiful, and perfect together!

I grew up with this sketch, I love it so much. I say 'gee my mom's a wurlitzer' and sing 'Gusta le gusta le gusta le gusta' all the time. I can't imagine how much fun these guys had doing this. Show business ain't what it used to be.

@@youlamatou Both in my opinion. We see Dean and Jerry but those were THEIR CHARACTERS. Dino and Joseph/Jerome were the complete opposite in real life. Both emotionally damaged. Both crazy. They had found each other. But publicly Dean HAD to be THAT character next to Jerry. And the weakest one, emotionally speaking, was Dean not Jerry, seeing HOW HE HAS PHYSICALLY DESTROYED HIMSELF SINCE THE EARLY 70's. After the separation NEITHER of them was ever truly happy again. Dean was already tired of everything by the mid-60s. He only worked for money but the passion he had working with Jerry was no longer there. I've been studying those two for almost four years.

Where was this show? Was it in NYC? I like the suit Jerry was wearing. Anyone knows an outlet that makes this style of suit? I go by the old Havana Madrid nightclub at west 51st + Broadway in NYC....now the Iridium. No plaque outside that commemorates this duo....sad.

I'm 90% sure it was filmed from Radio City (30 Rock), and I agree having a classic suit like that would be amazing

Does anyone know what song Jerry is trying to impersonate at 4:04? It sounded like he was doing a bit based off of something, but it could just be his usual goofy ad-libbing.

Sounds like he could be riffing on an old song that says 'clean out the ashtray, put out the light, cuz we're havin a ______' I'm guessing it says party there or something, but I wonder if their reaction is because the song he's quoting was risque maybe? I grew up with this sketch and I always thought it was referencing something, but you could be right about it just being ad-libbed.
