Hearing the two of them be honest about their attempts to recreate the sounds and styles of their favourite bands growing up is really helpful. I've been kicking myself because every time I try to write something, it sounds like something I've heard before and it's been really frustrating! Good to know that even living legends like these guys have had the same problem!

Guitar Center were watching it stupid

James Valentine is a Highly ignored lead guitar player. I used to watch him in his old band Square. His playing is on the level of Larry Carlton. I know for Pop sensibility guitar solos don't seem to fit in Maroon 5 but you really need to hear some of his solo playing if you haven't already. Also What's the deal with your you tube channel posting none musical and very controversial subjects. I as a subscriber don't find it very balanced and many of them though having some points that are valid don't fit in a channel called Guitar Center.

James Valentine is INCREDIBLY underrated. He's got some amazing lines on some of the older work from Maroon 5. It's phenomenal, and surprisingly difficult.

both james and adam are great musician like the other members of the band but the skill they use to play the guitar inspires me to buy the guitar and use it to inspire me to what i love like it said in the video " when your younger your trying to find your own identity to what you love" and i know music is my passion and love i cant wait to buy it

I just love them. Although they are so successful they are still so down to earth. This band helped me through many hard times and it has done so much for me. I am just thankful. I believe that we should thank james and Adam for everything they do rather than they thanking us for being their fans

People are idiots, lmao. The guys of Maroon 5 have always said that they’ve written songs based on radio and what they think people will enjoy. That’s not a crime. They still write and release songs they like; them being fans of 80s bands with a lot of guitar doesn’t mean they have to extensively use the guitar in Maroon 5 songs. They write radio music, and they write radio music well. There’s a reason they’ve had so many hits. Them writing radio music also doesn’t mean that they can’t play. Watch James Valentine’s solos, watch Adam’s cover of ‘Purple Rain’; they’re very talented musicians and songwriters. You not liking someone doesn’t make them ‘shit’, and them not playing the music you prefer doesn’t make them ‘shit’. They’re talented. Get over yourself.

Go look at older Maroon 5 interviews and hear them shit on the radio music. Adam has said that it's left him dirty and wanting to yake a shower. Mickey has said it's oversimplified.

Adam seems to care more about being successful to get more fans than actually writing music he likes. To me, it sounds like he went the way he did just to be successful. And he kept interrupting and looks suspiciously like Vladimir Makarov. Hmm....

Fun, crazy, lunni, weird, family, friends, intelligent, handsome, brilliant vocals/musicians .. What band comes close with so many attributes!? Great interview .. Just wish Adam wouldn't keep swearing!!! 🤦‍♀️
