SaidoKun it’s not that hard to reproduce styles of songs as long as you know the main notes of the songs. It’s what makes a musician really REALLY good; if you’re able to take a song and reproduce it in different styles.

Dumb people thinking those TV shows are not scripted... it would be just a huge mess if it was random and they would not know how to do the impression. Don't you think it would harm the artist image getting embarassed if he would skip an impression by not knowing how to or doing a total bad performance? Do you think they are called to participate on those TV shows on short notice? Or they would not know what will happen every second of their appearance? Silly! ... or do you think the singer/performer would just be sitting at home one day before the show/recording thinking "omg, I'm gonna participate on the Jimmy's Musical Impression!
