Since being coached by Conchita Martinez, Mirra's game has become much stronger and she is placing balls in more difficult spots. She also hits harder and her movement is better. She is stronger than one or two months ago. On Monday, she will turn 17, which is really very young. She's a tennis prodigy. She will rise very quickly in the WTA rankings. She could become one of the youngest world number 1 in history.

@@salverde100 The WTA prohibits girls who are too young from participating in all tournaments. As a result, they cannot climb the WTA rankings too quickly. It seems to me that they can only do 15 tournaments a year. Mirra Andreeva said she was very frustrated not to be able to make all the tournaments. A few years ago, you could see 14 year old girls playing. Now it's impossible.

@@neuman91 having or not won a WTA250 tournament at the age of 16/17 doesn’t mean anything. Iga Swiatek won her very first WTA tournament at the age of 19 years old (French Open). Andreeva doesn’t participate in many 250 tournaments, given that she can only play 10 tournaments per year due to her age, she has used most of her slots to play in the big tournaments. But I totally agree that we should let her be. Sometimes we super hype a player and if the player is not humble and disciplined enough, s/he will never bloom as it should. 👍

And shes got that walk of a champion.!😅 The passion is palpable when she plays.! She really dismantled Vandrusova in the second set.! She is court wise at a very young age. Not to mention how accurate her aim is. She could be a little bit more brave in going for passing shots? Maybe use the lines a bit more.? Shes making a huge impact on the tour and is going to go far if she continous like this.!

Against Vondrousova, Andreeva raced out to 4-1 leads in both sets. But she needed to reel the major-winner back in from that early lead in the first set, as she lost four straight games to trail 5-4. She did all that and more by winning nine of the last 10 games, and delivered a sublime serving performance in the second set. She landed 93% of her first serves, and lost just nine points in the set total.

I believe Andreeva is the best watch in woman's tennis. At 17, she's showing championship form. Her court sense and the way she builds points is quite a show and far beyond her years. I'm a bit concerned about wear and tear on her shoulder with that big service motion. I think Sharapova ruined her shoulder in her early years on tour and I'm hoping this doesn't happen again with Mira.

Vondrousova doesn't show any drive during matches. She walks hunched down, hits some drop shots but doesn't move much. Boring personality. She got lucky that Ons was in Wimbledon final and was ready to choke away even before meeting Vondourosova. Ons did the hard work, defeating in form Kvitova in 4th round, defending champion Rybakina in QF and hot Grand Slam player and world no.2 Sabalenka in SF. I wish Ons had either won the final or had lost earlier to anyone of the other 3.
