I was JUST re-watching this the other day... There's so much in the film... on going jokes galore like the Gator thing, the TLC stuff, Will Ferrell attracting hot girls, Mark Wahlberg talking about peacocks.

The balls on Wahlberg to try turning down Departed. If Scorsese calls and wants you to play the janitor in the background, you ask, “How fast do I mop?”

Maybe ego and paycheque?? In Scorsese’s The Departed he wasn’t the lead and had a minor role as part of an ensemble but he was the lead in The Happening

I mean, no "Invincible", no "Rock Star", no "Shooter", no "Lone Survivor".....he left out some of his best roles.

Maybe he ist as charismatic as The Rock, but you cannot help … but love is attitude towards working hard. Watch the James Cordan videi where he works out at 4 in the morning.

I loved Deepwater Horizon. Probably my favourite and most memorable film that Mark’s been in. I felt so invested throughout and it felt so realistically intense.

Mark is a rare case where he actually gains more skill the older he gets... Can you think of "peak" Wahlberg in the way you can think of "peak" Pacino, Denzel, Nicholson, Brando, Dustin Hoffman or Hopkins? Mark was never ever close to their level but he gradually gains a little more ability with every movie. Pretty interesting. Shame he's been nowhere near a great part by any other actor's standards but he plays great in some of the stuff he takes on.

What he does in Ted is fantastic and extremely skillful. The issue is that he does it so real that nobody sees the subtle acting. I mean, we all believe his best buddy's a talking Teddy bear, for real.

So relieved he mentioned The Other Guys. Felt like he really wanted to talk about it too. It's criminally overlooked and underrated even though it's one of the funniest movies in modern cinema, and one could make the case for all-time.

Gotta rewatch Ted for sure

When you think of Mark, you don't think of him as having a particularly prolific or significant set of films behind him, probably because of the type of character he tends to play, but he's done some pretty high quality projects with great actors and excellent directors... This was fairly interesting :)

His role in TED is a masterwork. He's such a dour, sullen personality, that you can't imagine him playing such a role, but he does it effortlessly.

That naming the white trash names scene in Ted is legendary. In some ways I think comedy is even harder than drama. When you think about method actors Mark isn't the first name to come to mind, but he always brings it big time. I'm glad he didn't mention the Transformers...that was just a paycheck.

Mark Wahlberg's role in "The Happening" was pretty iconic IMO. Granted it's iconic for all the wrong reasons but still iconic nonetheless.

It would take a bit more convincing to make a movie about a weed smoking teddy bear than a series that is already respected and known. Be honest btw Micheal Bay transformers had some of the best cgi and fight scenes ever.

But a comedy about a talking teddy bear is? That's the point I was making. Also it's been proven this genre works. Look at Mister Ed (6 seasons), Alvin & the Chipmunks, Garfield, Dr. Dolittle, Guardians of the Galaxy, Planet of the Apes, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, etc

Four brothers is a classic and probably my favorite movie ever, I kinda wish he woulda mentioned Contraband because I felt like his character in that movie was extremely genuine and authentic. Nevertheless he is easily one of my favorite actors and his versatility in film in amazing.

I don’t get that impression at all. I think that’s the vibe he consciously tries to put out but he’s really wound tight as a snare drum and everything in his life has to be done a certain way or it’s the highway.

Truly an Icon.

The Departed is such an incredible movie. For some reason it's easy to over look Mark when thinking of great actors but he really has done some incredible performances. And I love his comedic roles.

Mark can't break down every one of his iconic characters in one KZread video, it would need a 2 hour documentary.

He stole all the scenes he was in, in "The Basketball Diaries", that's what got me hooked on him. Even when he's in bad films, he's always interesting to watch. He's great in "Fear" and "Boogie Nights". Also really heartbreaking in the torture scene in "Three Kings"

I literally love Mark's historical/action movie like Mile 22 and lone survivor ect.

Honestly watching all these and hearing about where they go around the world and how they have so much fun. I might go into acting.. maybe

i had a instructor at a trucking school to get my CDL, he used to drive trucks for movies, for example he drove optimus prims in transformers. He was doing a movie and mark was in it as well, well basically he said the guy who was taking care of mark (brings drinks etc) caught the football him and his freinds were throwing around and mark flipped on him and treated him like trash, well my instructor told mark that he better run fast (he was in charge of the explosives in the movie as well) and mark got scared and wanted him off the movie, never happened though and i dont know if the story is true or not, ive heard mark is a good person and i hope that it didnt happen or if it did he apologized to the guy. either way his movies are great i decided to share this because i remembered my instructor telling us this

Even being _considered_ for a role in a Martin Scorsese movie is something most actors can only dream of. I've got nothing against Wahlberg but the guy isn't exactly Daniel Day Lewis.

It's amazing to me how much this guy has done despite how badly he seems so reluctant to do literally anything. Every project, "Didn't want to do this movie, didn't want to talk to this guy, didn't want to try this, not really into this" Some people are just born stupidly lucky.

Am I the only one here who was waiting to hear about Shooter and they skipped this fantastic movie entirely.

It was kind of epic, with how Mark perfectly hit those flat/sour notes, in the Boogie Nights music recording studio scene.

I don’t know about any of you guys but I’ve loved ‘Pain and Gain’

He is missing a lot of action films that were huge. Lone Survivor, Shooter, Four Brothers, The Italian Job (Classic), 2Guns, Pain&Gain(Hilarious). He needs to come back and set the record straight.

So many other movies just like GetPaidWithKyle listed! Wish it could've been a longer video. But still great :D

Him and Will Farrel make an awesome duo

This was like listening to that friend who just got his first promotion and now he's an expert on everything.

It would've been priceless if Robin Williams would still be around to recap his movie rolls.
