Feel sad for Mark in these times. You know it killed him that he wasnt with blink anymore, and especially when it was talked about as if he was still in the band.

Mark looks so tired from being stressed out. remember, blink was his thing and identity since his teenage years, and a band is like a marriage. He must have been in limbo where it feels like you lost your old life but there doesn't neem to be a ''new life''. Dude is looking worn and gaunt

He had awful depression around this time, and already had a history of depression in the late 90's and then around 2019 again.

Lol Mark looks SO grown up here. Like seriously almost unrecognizable. Almost looks like a movie star. Not quite, but you know what I mean? His face looks way different and subdued to me. Same classic Mark voice though lol.

IMO Mark’s physical peak was around the time +44 formed. He had normal hair, wearing dark colored clothes and might’ve been at his slimmest.

i think you can sort of tell this is shortly after the break up. Mark seems a bit shell-shocked and subdued.

I think because this was close after Blink broke up I'm sure publicists were involved and Adam had an understanding that he wasn't supposed to touch on any issues about the break up. Mark was there to promote the greatest hits to sell cds so Adam just asked him a few questions about current issues instead of about Blink and gave him the greatest hits plug. Totally professional but it just comes across as awkward like Mark doesn't even seem like himself.

I think I know what Mark was trying to do at that time when he was being all sweet and compassionate. He probably knew that Blink's breakup was near so he evidently didn't want anyone to think he was a jackass thusly everyone disliking him and all. I don't know, that's just how I see it. I honestly love blink-182, I respect Mark Hoppus so much, but from the other videos and interviews from him, he was acting quite different in this one.

Mark does seem off in this interview but as this aired in September 2005 and blink-182 hadn't officially broken up they were only on hiatus at this point. Plus this was actually recorded earlier in the year so alot of the problems that led to the break-up weren't even public yet so he had to be real careful to dance around any statements that directly said Blink was no more.

I believe the race issue is a very important thing in this interview. As Mark is a huge influence on next generation. And mark is not involved with societys "normal" problems.. like race... its important because "normal" people won't be able to . or afford to ignore race issues... Mark can afford it cause for him and people like him race is just a minor issue its nothing... but for normal people its a huge thing..

@@sergio895 on one side it was ignorant.. on the other side it was highlighting the problem of divorce and comparing to a certain percentage of christianity's constant hatred and historic shaming attitude towards children of divorced families, not to mention the careless attitude of dying children of divorce families in all religions and all cultures throughout the thousands of years of history of humanity... not to mention the arrogant attitude of other religions aswell from other cultures against divorced children against their own divorced families of their own societies.. Yes I did make myself right in the highlighting of the issue of all cultures lesser or greater ignorance towards the victimization of kids coming from divorced families that exist in all cultures. Just to be precise in the problem that arises when a kid or a person literally HAVE to grow up ignoring his/her own background, (Yes to survive cause their coworkers/friends are so tired of listening to that problematic situation which is locked in a constant standby, which leads to apathy, which sometimes leads to death or crime or best case perfect outcome or just a bratty person) And the hypocrisy of the people highlighting the race issue, which is literally ONLY talking about caring about their own background and how victimized they feel when they are not allowed to talk about that. Which is basically alot of the main issue about most divorced families, and ironically it is a harder issue to solve in my opinion, cause most families that are divorced are non-fixable and that leads to the tabooization of your own background to a impossible extent... but race issues is actually fixable. And you as a race focused person are not allowed to tell me to which degree a divorced family can be fixed cause you know nothing about that specific issue. Yes now you can say "Da hell was that" once again... Highlighting YOUR ignorance.

It's easy for us to relate to people who look like us, so you might accidentally associate the white guy winning with YOU winning or with YOU being physically dominant, even though you're not even boxing or a fighter. But I agree with Mark; I tend to find myself rooting for the big-picture underdog, or having no bias at all if I have no information on either of their characters.
