Car Dealership owner : He means a car that women like. Borat : Yes, but where do you keep this magnet? Car Dealership owner : [interrupts] No. There's no magnet he just means the vehicle. Women love the Hummers. Borat : Do this have a pussy magnet? Car Dealership owner : No. The vehicle itself would be a magnet. Borat : If I give you good price, will you please put in pussy magnet?

@mstandenberg1421

Sound guy moves mic’ focus between the subjects mics to the audience’s mics and back again to keep the sources clear and uncluttered. It’s the UK. Hardly any non-American studios use laughtracks. Maybe he’s not doing it seemlessly and subtly enough for you without you experiencing an audio version of ‘uncanny valley’. If you’re unhappy about laughtracks, blame cheap American shows for poisoning you with them. But this isn’t one of them.
@abandoned-mines-novascotia
4 жыл бұрын
It's NOT a laugh track. There IS a live studio audience there. The laughs ARE real. The reason it sounds odd at times is because the audience microphones have a strong/fast Gate applied to them (a setting on any modern studio mixing board). This keeps the stage audio "cleaner" so the broadcast isn't awash in audience mutterings, conversations, chatter, rumblings, etc. The gate keeps the audience mics 'silenced' until a certain level of decibels it breached... then it opens quickly to essentially turn 'on' the mics... so suddenly you hear a rush of laughter. Once the laughs die down, the gate is set to a closure speed at a certain decibel level, so the gate closes. This one sounds pretty fast in places, but it depends on how fast the audience quiets down. That gate is just waiting to close... sometimes it closes like a guillotine near the beginning of this clip. As minutes go on, and the audio engineers get the feel of the laughs, they seem to relax the gate and soften it's closure (release time). So the audience noise fades out in 2 seconds, rather than 100 milliseconds.

I remember being at an Army training base when this movie came out to theaters and it was a small conservative town. If anyone dared to do the same about the nation with the Star of David. Disgusting jokes at their expense! About greed, money-grubbing, avarice...etc. One thing would be certain! They would shout atisemitism loudly from all directions! I am deliberately not naming the nation, because there is an extreme censorship in favor of this nation! @@theelusivedillinger I can only agree with your description of the biblical story and your conclusion to that. But I avoid making such general statements about them, because then they can present themselves as victims and scream anti-Semitism. I always combine allegations with concrete examples and facts that no one can deny. Whereby they can't beat what the Germans did.
@arthurolejniczak4547
2 жыл бұрын
@@theelusivedillinger I'm of a completely different opinion. You were responsible for many things, but certainly not for starving German children. The Germans themselves were responsible for that. In Germany, children went hungry during World War I and a few years after that war. The Germans were responsible for this war and the famine caused by this war because they had to answer for this war with Austria together. By the way, I'm Pole and have an aversion to both nations. Poles had to starve because of the Germans in World War I and after this war. Even worse in WWII. Whereby to starve was the most harmless thing that Poles can accuse the Germans of. Besides, the nation of the star of david did not have a single monopoly in Germany. 600,000 of them in Germany didn't have that much power at all. The Germans were responsible for their country and their government. in the 20s as well as in the 30s. It is clear that the Jews were the victims of the Germans and not the other way around. But just because they were victims doesn't mean that they have the right to do wrong themselves, but they do. I said one should use facts, but the facts should be correct.
@arthurolejniczak4547

@@theelusivedillinger Incidentally, I use the synonym "nation of the star of david" because there is a considerable pro-Jewish censorship here. And my comment with the usual name for this nation has been censored. Such a harmless sentence in this text J...."the nation of the star of david" did not have a single monopoly in Germany" ... which is actually positive for her is automatically deleted because the sentence contains the word monopoly! But surprisingly one can use the term pro-Jewish censorship. Absurd and evil censorship. By the way, KZread is American.
