I prayed to God that Mark will beat cancer and promised myself that when it happens, I'm buying tickets for the whole family to see them live And I did, we will be celebrating our youngest 9th birthday (which is a huge fan) by traveling 3500 miles to see Blink 182 concert 🎉❤🤘

This is one of the many reasons why blink is as big as they are and have been on top for so long. It’s hard to be a pop punk band and make it let alone be at the top of music and one of the world’s biggest artists playing this genre. Can’t think of any other band who’s done it like blink in this pop punk/punk genre besides maybe Green Day but I’d say their sound became a different sub genre of punk and I haven’t considered Green Day pop punk since nimrod and maybe some of warning but wasn’t a fan of anything after insomnia, dookie, and nimrod. They’ve always been so interactive with their fans and always have done cool in the moment surprises like this throughout their whole career on every tour at a lot of the stops. You will hear about stories like this when it comes to blink whether it’s playing an acoustic show in the parking lot after their 2 hour set they just played or mark running around pouring flour all over his head and the fans after a show one night, or Travis surprising kids with cancer and gave each kid a brand new nice ass drum kit and sticks and cymbals that he set up with his endorsers to surprise these kids who were supposed to come to the blink show but the cancer had gotten worse so they thought they were out of luck when Travis pops into the children’s hospital with the blink crew members lugging drums and equipment and even doing a drum solo for the hospital staff and children. Celebrities will do this for publicity and to boost their name and best believe there’s gonna be cameras and mic’s everywhere for basically every other celebrity but the coolest thing is that this was genuine cause travis didn’t allow any cameras for anyone who came with him and no documentation that this ever happened just to boost his reputation and get pat on the backs from the world about how amazing he is. The only people who were allowed to record were the parents of the sick children so they could remember this memory forever with their children.

Can’t think of any other band who’s done it like blink in this pop punk/punk genre besides maybe Green Day but I’d say their sound became a different sub genre of punk and I haven’t considered Green Day pop punk since nimrod and maybe some of warning but wasn’t a fan of anything after insomnia, dookie, and nimrod. They’ve always been so interactive with their fans and always have done cool in the moment surprises like this throughout their whole career on every tour at a lot of the stops. You will hear about stories like this when it comes to blink whether it’s playing an acoustic show in the parking lot after their 2 hour set they just played or mark running around pouring flour all over his head and the fans after a show one night, or Travis surprising kids with cancer and gave each kid a brand new nice ass drum kit and sticks and cymbals that he set up with his endorsers to surprise these kids who were supposed to come to the blink show but the cancer had gotten worse so they thought they were out of luck when Travis pops into the children’s hospital with the blink crew members lugging drums and equipment and even doing a drum solo for the hospital staff and children. Celebrities will do this for publicity and to boost their name and best believe there’s gonna be cameras and mic’s everywhere for basically every other celebrity but the coolest thing is that this was genuine cause travis didn’t allow any cameras for anyone who came with him and no documentation that this ever happened just to boost his reputation and get pat on the backs from the world about how amazing he is. The only people who were allowed to record were the parents of the sick children so they could remember this memory forever with their children.
