Unfortunately it is NOT illegal by US law. If you're in a public place it is perfectly legal for someone to take photographs or video of you without your permission. (Though if you're in a restaurant or club or something, they establishment can throw the person out & try to demand the footage) It's only illegal if it's someones home/hotel room, or through a window into a home/hotel room, a bathroom, locker room, dressing room, etc. But an airport is a public area. Morally it's totally wrong though.

He looked fine. If I saw him exactly like that, I would know that he is Marilyn Manson. He obviously isn't going to be in fully makeup all the time. There is Marilyn Manson the artist, performer, and showman, and there is Marilyn Manson the guy. I think people forget that even famous rock artists are also regular people just like the rest of us. You can watch interviews by not only him, but by many other legendary artists like Freddie Mercury, Jack White, etc. and their sit-down-and-chat persona is very different than their stage persona. Being an artist is more than writing songs and singing, you also are literally putting on a performance, a show, and Marilyn Manson is yet another example of a regular guy who has an extraordinary talent and is a master of performance. He still eats, sleeps, shits, and grieves like the rest of us.

You hear him ask "aren't cameras not allowed back here?" He was trying to politely have the airport security stop this filming instead of directly confronting the cameraman. Even in his grief he showed poise, restraint, and civility... all of which were ignored by the person filming.

Poor Marilyn when I lost my dad I was so upset and he was so close to his dad my heart goes out to u. Love from one of Ur fans.

This is so disgusting, this is frustrating for famous people, when they are at the bottom, people record them like objects. If you would have done it to a random peson at the Airport it wouldnt be the same thing. It really sucks to lose a loved one and I have lost several in the past several years starting with my wife, brother, parents and sister last year. I know we all have to endure this kind of loss but it doesn't make it any easier. It is something that just doesn't go away and effects most of us in ways that are profound and sometimes incomprehensible. I have tried to learn to enjoy life and the people close to me more and hope to see them all on the other side when the time comes. Let people mourn and give them respect and privacy regardless of whomever it is.

He looks good for pushing 50 years of age. I hope he's out making music for at least another twenty years. I seen him last year, on the Slipknot tour, and he was great.
