Never been a fan of his music but every interview, especially Letterman, he was fabulous. As well fan interaction in public he is gracious and funny. I like his acting more than his music. His paintings are amazing. A true artist, just a down to earth mid-west dude.

I think the “persona” is probably actually a hell of a lot nicer to be around than his real personality. The guy is a washed up coke fiend who slaps around young women. Typical aging rock star drowning in narcissism while losing his grip on reality. I’d rather hang out with the satanic alter ego tbh. I remember White Zombie Opened for Korn in Florida (or vice versa) back in 1996, I just happened to bump into Marilyn Manson witch was visiting both bands playing, Outside and there was no one there just me, a friend and another dude with an expensive looking camera (paparazzi) back in the day when no one cared about his music and the funniest thing ..........that other dude with the camera asked me "Who's that? I say that's "Marilyn Manson bro" and he replied rudely and loudly "He's not famous and he's irrelevant" so he turned around and left (dick) ,I saw Marilyn Manson hearing this and kinda put a puppy dog face, I could tell he was hurt by that comment...,he was with his other band members in an 80's white limo, and I immediately told Marilyn "don't listen to that jerk he will kick himself in the ass for not taking a picture of you" , I asked to take pictures with him and he was more than happy to do so (with an actual camera and I still have that picture ) I spoke to him about his first album "portrait of an american family" and "antichrist superstar", I told him "you are going to be great and have lots of success", he said "lets hope so" and "you really think so?", I said with confidence ...."no doubt in my mind cause you are the Ozzy of the 90's", Marilyn said "I'll remember this day and I will call you". we exchanged numbers , I received a call in July 98' by none other than Marilyn for a backstage pass to the OZZfest .wich I had already bought a cheap ticket (but what an upgrade!!! ) . I wen't backstage and met Ozzy personally (he's out there :) all the band members of Tool, Megadeth, Limp Bizkit, Soulfly, Sevendust, Coal Chamber,Motörhead, System of a Down, Melvins, Incubus, they where all in a big room and Marilyn at the end of the night (err morning) came to me we drank some beers, had quick small talk and he told me "my friends call me Brian, don't call me Marilyn I hate it !" , I never saw him again but this is to show you that being humble and nice to people can have a good impact on others and good things can come out of a simple gesture.

He did say "my FRIENDS CALL me Brian" ...it took me several years to understand what he meant by that, I just think that he actually remembered me standing out for him when that paparazzi jerk was being a dick to him so I guess he was trying to be nice by saying that to me, ..this is back in the day when the internet was almost non existent and you couldn't just look peoples names up..so at the time in 96', Not even I had understood that he just had given me his real name until much much later. I actually thought that his name was Marilyn ( yeah I know) no one believes me until I show them the pictures cause now I have short hair :)

Nope. Rock in general is in the toilet. Even Slipknot has fallen off. I guess that's what happens when you run half of the band members off and turn one to suicide. Clown and Corey are pieces of shit, if you only take into consideration what they done to Joey, not to mention the rest of it. It's a damn shame. I was a die-hard Slipknot fan since the beginning.

I had the opportunity to sit in on one of his shows here in Edmonton, and although the show itself did not work out too well, with props falling apart and his very unfortunate flu (amazing that you still did all of the shows- I had to do the same last winter with my opera showcase during a bad case of the flu and bronchitis), it was great to see him perform. Life gave him weeds as a youngster, he made Absinthe.
