Is it good that she sings without an ability? No. Whitney never focus on that thing. She could take an old forgotten country song and turn it into the HIT. :D The fact that Whitney was better doesn't make Mariah worse. That wasn't comparing, that was stating facts, lol these little girls can't respect Mariah's legacy. You guys call her fat or say she can't sing, like Mariah hasn't influenced singers, and is respected by music legends. Ariana fans are always coming for the Queen Mariah, that's why Mariah fans spill tea and when they do, Ari fans get mad lol.

The whole thing behind this is that she’s fighting for love and her demons are stopping her from conquering it. As soon as she breaks away from it, she’s finds it (referring to her ‘honey’ her love) and the video depicts the negativity with the positivity which she overcomes (light coloured garments vs darker coloured garments) and after ignoring the demons, she’s content with the love she’s found.

She deserves more credit than she's getting. She's an icon. No one is like her

Mariah Carey looks like a excellent swimmer and the way she changes her outfit. I am anticipated for a new season and I hope Mariah Carey comes out with a new album soon since I really miss her. Eddie Griffin is so funny in this video and I really love his performance and he said you have to get nasty with it.

Mariah is the only person who can jump off a balcony into a pool and still look phenomenal.

They actually had budgets for videos back then. This video had to cost millions to make. Nobody buys music now, so no label will invest money in a video. Especially since it'll only be on KZread since places like MTV, BET, VH1 don't play videos. Everything was better back then

This didn't take millions to make. True about the budget, but videos were only a promotional vehicle back then, just an expense. Today, they feature on Vevo and get ad revenue for life - they make a lot of money off of them now.

This is one of Mariah's best videos in my opinion.

Who remembers back when seeing Mariah in this video was so scandalous? remember earlier in her career she was portrayed as the girl next door type-cute/ bubbly/whatever - controlled by her label and especially her husband at the time Tommy Mottola but guuuuurl, when she got that divorce and Mimi was freeeeeeee it was on. When the video dropped (that was a thing btw when video's had premiere dates and MTV or even VH1 had you glued to the TV telling you you would see it there first lol. ooh memories lol ) our jaws was like "Mariah?!?!" - "what!"

@@joyful4487 It was 100% control. Read her book (highly recommended the audiobook!). She actually couldn’t go anywhere alone without his people with her, he surveillanced their home and was known to call her over the intercom if he didn’t know where she was. He slid a butter knife across her cheek in front of colleagues to humiliate her, etc, etc. They even tried couples therapy and the therapist told her what he is doing is not normal and she needed to leave....so yeah, he was controlling.
