She has a good singing voice and covered the song "Emotions"? haha.. I've seen plenty of talented female pop artists come and go, and even some who could do whistles, but that did NOT make them the next Mariah Carey... Mariah Carey has an amazing voice, but it's her catalog of hits, and talent to write and produce music that is timeless that makes HER Mariah Carey... Let's see if anyone is talking about Ariana Grande in say, 10 years? And personally as much as I do like Ariana's music, none of it is as good or will have the longevity of Mariah's hits..

Dreamlover really resonated throughout the pop scene three decades ago! It was one of the most melodious songs in the Nineties!

There is no denying that Mariah has one of the greatest vocal ranges ,if not the best ,in the industry. Her voice is just beautiful and unique. It's not surprising that she still reigns supreme as one of the worlds greatest singers in history. In 100 years from now people will still be listening to her sing. Her voice transcends time and space.

I just noticed at the beginning of the music video was her “Dreamlover” who’ll come and take her away. This song was overplayed in the 90s, on the radio, on CD players, in the mall. Everywhere you went this song could be heard. I remember my sister and her friends would play this over and over and over too. It was very annoying. Now I am sitting here, listening to Mariah Carey's beautiful voice, wishing for days of long ago. Watching this video and listening to this song invokes a feeling that I have not felt since that decade. Call me nostalgic, but I miss this song. The 90s were better times, and the music of that era had more talent, more spirit, more musicality and inspiration. This was a time before we had cell phones or internet. All we had was music. Growing up, people of all cultures and races were way more united back then because of music like this.

First time i heard that was back in early 92, because i was in malaysia backed in 93, i fell in love with that song the first time i heard that and so as " i don't wanna cry " and " emotion ".

Definitely the 90's was the last greatest decade... Miss the golden days.

I can remember seeing this on MTV. This song brings back so many memories.. Takes me back to the 90s when I was 16. I remember they would play this record at the roller cade in Mayfield KY during couples backwards skate. I can still smell the pizza from the snack bar and remember looking into the eyes of some girl I was skating with. I would give ANYTHING to go back there.

I was 29 yrs old when this song came out. I was doing my MA at a prestigious university when I met the man of my dreams, fell in love and hit married. I’m still married to him today. This song made me feel so youthful, so alive, so in love. Despite this song being. Sry “bubblegum” I loved it and still do! I play it for my teenage kids now but they think I’m crazy. No matter, I still love this song and how young it makes me feel.

Youre lucky. Im 34 now and I still havent met anyone. I remember being 29.......i cant believe 5 years passes so fast.

After 25 years, this song still reminds me of you. It takes me back to that day at that amusement park where we were standing in line to get on that roller coaster. This song came on. Now I had never really listened to MC before, but you would sing her music all the time. This was her newest song, and to see your face light up when you heard it coming from the speakers was something I'll never forget. We kissed right there in line, oblivious to the crowd of people standing in line with us. Volumes were spoken in the seconds that passed, and I knew without a doubt, that I would always love you. I gave you my necklace to wear, you told me you loved me,and we made promises to each other. Yours would eventually break. Our lives went in different directions after that, unfortunately, but with this being said, there is not one moment that I hear this song that I don't think of you. I have 2 little girls now who are my world and I love above all else....and I still carry you inside as well.

How magnificently simple this song is yet amazing.

That they decided to shoot this video on film stock in widescreen speaks wonders to its quality and how well it has aged today. Even the direction is top notch, with very artistic touches in both the high and low angles of the fields and dancers. Highly cinematic. This track is an ethereal 90’s summer vibe.

You missed out on a divine time. This song was in heavy rotation when I was a freshman in college in spring '94. I remember those times vividly; in part, because of this song and many others of similarly superior quality and nostalgic power.
