My son die slowly from cancer, when the time came closer. Eventhough he was hooked up to everything I put earphones to his ear and played hero. They thought he couldn't hear anything they were wrong. I saw the tears flow from his eyes. I told him that he was my hero kissed him for the last time. I wish I see Mariah in person to tell her thank you

I had a very dear friend of mine sing this song to my brother at his wedding. It was the perfect song as my brother had come back from being lost to drugs and alcohol. He made peace with his sisters and was truly getting his life in order. However, this was to be short lived. He relapsed and that time he fell into the grips of meth and alcohol. That time he didn’t come back. Eventually, he had a severe stoke at 67 and passed at age 70. It broke my heart in a million pieces. Dave was a believer in Christ Jesus, so I am certain that I will see him again, and I can hardly wait for that moment. He will always be my hero. RIP David. You are truly free now❤️✝️❤️

I'll never forget when I driving home at night during a tough time in my life. I became stuck in a vortex of deeply negative and suicidal thoughts. I wanted to crash my car and end it. Meanwhile, I was tuning out the radio this entire time, until suddenly this song came on. I hung on to every word. I also put a little more effort to get home safely. When I arrived home, I broke down and listened to the rest of it before going in the house. This moment was a miracle, and it brought me closer to God. I felt like something, someone sent this song in my darkest moment as an answer. And I'm so thankful this exists.

I heard this song a few weeks before my mother died of cancer in 1996. It helped me a little bit to cope with this.

This song was released in 1993, so it came out when I was 10 years old, and I first saw it when I was 13 years old. Now I'm the head of two 41-year-olds. It's still one of my life songs I listen to in the car when I go to work. I think this song would have received a lot of love even in this day and age, and I think it's so sophisticated that it's unbelievable that it's a song from 93 years. I think it's a song that will continue to be talked about in people's memories even after 30 years. I am a South Korean person on the other side of the world. This song is still a lot of love for Koreans.🇰🇷🇺🇸

There were times that I would have welcomed the thought to end my life but "Hero" became an anchor for me. Mariah spoke to me through this song in my adolescent years, and I realized that I am not trash but capable of doing great things if I could just find my way to my core. There is no dream too big, no happiness out of reach because each day brings hope of achieving these things. We are made into what we are not by our circumstances but by the choices we make despite the odds. Thank you Queen MC, even at 40 this song never fails to bring tears to my eyes. You are forever loved.

This performance of "Hero" outshines all her live performances. I like how thick and rich her tone is! The first minute of the song is my favourite part and sounds incredible, she sings softly but with plenty of soul and emotion! Her belts are grounded and rich, and head voice sounds like Whitney with that straight tone and ending it with vibrato!! The runs / riffs incorporated in her head voice at the end of song was creative and not oversung, showcasing great musicality! Hero is one of my favourite songs, thank you Mariah!

When she hits the Very high notes in her songs gives me the chills.

This song helped me to survive my childhood, the abuse from my parents. I was 11, when this song was released. This song made me keep going through all the abuse and neglect. I had no support. I hated myself so much but there was a little hope inside me for a better future, whenever I heard this song. Now I am happily married and in no contact with those monsters for good. I am in a therapy and feeling so much better. Thank you, Mariah. This song brings tears into my eyes. Thank you, thank you!!!!

I had a pet who passed away unexpectedly in my arms at home last year. She was my absolute best friend for 14 amazing years. She was a hero to me helping me through very painful times.

This is the true artist, we don't know where the extra oxygen is coming from 😮😮she will always be my favorite ❤❤❤❤ watching in 2024

When I heard this song, it reminds me of my beloved mom. I lost my mom three months ago due to stroke. I'm planning a party--and playing this song--for a worker at my job, because he was a real hero. He saved my life. And it really makes me feel bad, because prior to that moment, I had kinda gotten in his face at work for touching crew members. *_Casual_* touches, like on arms or shoulders. He was always very outgoing and tactile at work. Still, I'd taken him to my colleague’s office for a chat and told him he shouldn't touch anyone without consent. Just handshakes. I said we needed the workers to be comfortable in a good work environment, that he pretty much shouldn't talk about anything other than work and school. How he shouldn't tell his stories because they may be inappropriate or upsetting (can't remember my words) to the other workers; funny to him only. I think he’s about 25, give or take. He seemed pretty quiet and uncomfortable during my speech. Answered a question or two with a nod and headshake. I don't blame him; I even said "touching without consent," which was a little harsh. It's not like he's a creep or anything. He's just outgoing. And I even said to my present colleague "Is there anything you want to add?" I didn't realize how insensitive I was that day. That's why I wanted to apologize and thank him by throwing him a great party. He deserves it. He did _not_ deserve the way I practically shamed him in front of his boss. He made some mistakes, but I didn't handle it right. I don't even think they were as bad as I made them out to be; he just needed some limits and compromise, not a firm all-or-nothing rule. I should've been more respectful and patient. I was right in some ways, but even being right can be irrelevant, you know what I mean?

This is me and my wife's song , 37 years strong . She was 15 and I was 17 , 4 children and 9 grandchildren. what a beautiful wife and life I have been blessed with

This song gives me the help and encourage me to keep going and be a hero for my son he is only 3 months old he was diagnosed with a heart defect he lost all of the color of his skin and the other day I went to see him the color came back to his skin and the doctor checked his heart and his heart defect was gone and this song encouraged me to stay strong with the lord help my son can have a normal life so THANK YOU MARIAH CAREY for singing this song it helped me a lot with what I went through with my baby son

His dad (my brother) is not active in his life and the mother went on to have 3 more kids and is absent in his life. I'm there to support my nephew and my mom. Stay strong, you can do it! With only 1 child, I'm sure there are many woman that would love to marry you and step up in that motherly role. Don't give up! God loves you and your son. Cast your cares on Him. This song was my anthem during some of the hardest years of my life as a homeless single mother and being the first in my family to go to college and earn my doctorate.
