I love that I've been a fan of Mariah for over 20 years, and I still get to utter the phrase "I've never heard this song before." She has so many hidden & rare tracks, which are often buried from years gone by. it's like I get to discover her all over again.

She doesnt get enough credit! I love this song. I would love to hear a stripped down accoustic album that features this type of melodic flow and features her amazing writing abilities (although this song is a cover) I also wish she'd shift into a more retro/disco era style of music. Her disco remixes and her sampling skills are awesome. She dabbles in it nearly every album- she should dive head first.

Anne Murray had a cover of this song. That's the first version I heard. I bought the cds for my mom.

I remember listening to this non-stop when I was a 14 yr old kid who longed for someone to understand and be there by his side.

This was originally intended to be the movie's theme song

First hearing about the rock album and now this is EXACTLY why I always thought she could do more with her vocals. I just wish she would have done more genres in the past. ❤ Anyway this song reminds me of Darius Rucker, with pinches of Martina McBride/Faith Hill kind of vocal styles.
