He lived in the streets since he was 7 years old, orphan. What is more amazing is the fact that he never had formal vocal training and lessons at all, he's self-taught. Men singing in two voices is a Philippine tradition, so the style wouldn’t be a surprise there. His native language is Tagalog, so he is also singing in two foreign languages. And he is sitting down! How he has enough breath is a mystery to me. He is self-taught, extraordinary.

it's like the first time riding a roller coaster...you don't know what to expect.....a perfect voice for one humble man....amazing!!! he started his life from the bottom that had no other way to go but up.....

I love watching people react to this that have never heard Marcelito before. When he started and you said you were not expecting what came out of his mouth, I started giggling knowing what was coming up. Great reaction.

What’s more amazing about Marcelito is the fact that he was self-taught how to sing, never had any formal singing lessons. He learned by watching television, listening to radio and singing karaoke.

If you think this video is impressive, then you need to watch Marcelito's recording of"Time to Say Goodbye". This man is so talented and his voice is absolutely gorgeous. How anybody can listen to any of his music and not be blown over would be amazing.

He didn’t win AGT Champions 2 in 2020. An acrobatic team won. He did finish hide than Angelina Jordan, but probably because AJ’s family would not agree to AGT’s standard contract. They had her on the show because they needed her fan base, and her family wanted the American exposure. Marcelito’s good but this is a one trick pony. He needs to pick a register and stick with it if he wants to pursue a singing career.

It's my understanding that as a boy Marcelito enjoyed imitating his favorite female singers, mostly Celine Dion. Then when his voice started to change as he got older, he just kept on imitating his favorite female singers in same voice he had always used. Somehow by doing that managed to preserve both his upper female sounding register, while at the same time adding on the lower male register.

When he was younger and living alone in the streets, he used to sell balut (egg wt embryo) beside a local bar at night and most songs popular that time was Celine Dion's songs.

I've seen hundreds if not thousands of reactions about Marcelito Pomoy and I think you have the best reaction of them all. Good job man! Singing in different languages isn't that big a deal because you are only matching sounds, not understanding meanings. I am just a decent choir singer, and I have probably sung in a dozen different languages.

I had the pleasure of shocking my youngest brother with this. My brother had just come over after a really long shift and he was tired. We were talking while he was reclined on the loveseat near where I was sitting at my pc. One of us said something about people who drag themselves up by the bootstraps and really MAKE something of themselves, and this popped into my mind so I had my brother listen to it without watching. I explained that here was a Celine Dion impersonator but I didn't say any more than that, I just had him listen. He liked it and commented that he liked the guy who impersonated Andrea better. I said something like 'Oh, that's cool, because they are the same person.' Like I said, my brother was tired, so he just looked at me. 'What?' So I had him pull up a chair and had him watch this video. I pointed out the equalizer on the table with the mics on it. My brother was just MIND-BLOWN after a very long day. He just had to go home, man. It was pretty funny. It's a treasured memory. :)

He is amazing. He was on America's got talent and to me his best song was his second one. Carn ta something. Italian and English again but Amazing. Nobody but me has noticed the last note on that song. He starts the last note in the female voice and ends in the male voice but in the middle it sounds like both voices. It is outstanding and you can tell by the man in the audience with his mouth open clapping as hard as he can
