Marc Lamont Hill Grills Black Conservative CJ Pearson on Critical Race Theory

Ойын-сауық

Multiple states across the country are banning the teaching of critical race theory in schools. In a Florida state board meeting, a last-minute amendment was added to the original proposal. It spells out that critical race theory as well as the 1619 Project, are examples of theories that distort historical events and are inconsistent with the state board standards. Many attendees showed their support in protest after a member of the Northside Coalition of Jacksonville called on the board to allow teachers to teach the truth. CJ Pearson, campaign manager for Georgia Gubernatorial candidate Vernon Jones, joins the show to discuss the banning of critical race theory.

To be clear: 1. Darwin's Theory of Evolution teaches that there is a such thing as race; and that so-called white people are the most "Evolved" of the "races". [Darwin's Theory of Evolution is false; as it is not supported by evidence] 2. History not mystery. 3. C. J. Pearson says "We can learn from the past." 4. We scientists are to follow facts and evidence in order to see where they lead. kzread.info/dash/bejne/iGl5stumk7rWXco.html

Due Europe is a continent where several countries sit, they are several different minority groups of people from the European continent. The European created a way to cheat the census population count, due they are outnumbered per representation via each country. For example the largest demographic of a single group out of Europe, are German Americans, their total population is only 13.1% percent of the populations . In 2023, we have the most illiterate generation to ever graduate high school. Imagine if "educators" actually taught Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies and Arithmetic. You know, to actually challenge, educate and prepare kids for a successful adult life. Nope. Public schools are infested with alphabet people using our kids for their own personal validation because their own sense of self revolves around their sexual preference and they insist your grade-schoolers know about it. Then we have the crt advocates pushing identitarianism with an extremely myopic and corrosive ideology. But let's keep lowering standards and eroding key preconditions for placement or advancement: Graduation is for participation. The only remaining standard is attendance. It's no wonder seniors are graduating with a tested 6th grade reading level.

Absolutely! Then, later, he can't name one critical race theorist who makes the claim he's making, and he says it's about the whole body of work. He can't honestly make that argument if he hasn't read the entire "body of work" and I seriously doubt he has if he hasn't even read the 1619 Project. But whether he's read the entire body of work or not, he should be able to name one theorist who has made the claim he's making just one time and he can't even do that. Probably because no critical race theorist has said what he claims. So if he isn't even aware of one theorist who has said that, he can't really make the claim that he's judging the entire "body of work" if he can't be sure that one claim is even in that body of work or not.

You don’t really believe in critical race theory do you? No one who’s historically literate believes in it. They teach that white Europeans brought violence and imperialism to the Americas and leave out the Inca and the Aztecs who were imperialists that conquered and killed all of their neighbors. They also leave out how the Carib are from the Orinoco River Basin and they conquered the Caribbean Islands. They also leave out all of the Native Americans who conquered and killed each other. Did they ever teach you in school that there’s a Native American pyramid outside of St. Louis called Cahokia which was the size of the pyramids in Mexico. The Mississippi People are a Native American tribe with huge cities who conquered and enslaved all of their neighbors. Critical Race Theory also leaves out that the British forced the Brazilians and the Ottoman Empire to ban slavery and the slave trade.

I doubt many elementary schools are using published articles, essays, or journal entries. What parents are in an uproar about are the ACTUAL lessons being taught in the classroom that reflect what this young man describes. How did we see these lessons? Thank virtual classrooms during the lock downs. Even if the teachers are misrepresenting CRT, it doesn't change that the distorted version needs to be removed from the classrooms.

@Rodogg 1978 It doesn't teach that at all. It simply teaches history. We learn history specifically to learn from the problems of our past right? For years, our history has been distorted by this version of American exceptionalism. I took my history courses in Texas. In Middle school I was taught a heavily modified and propagandized version of Texas history. Throughout high school I was taught a version of American history that leaned towards American nationalism that swept anything inconvenient to that narrative under the rug. It wasn't until college that I was taught all the things that were being censored and edited out of my history. None of those issues were something I was incapable of handling as a middle schooler or high schooler. I want politicians to stop dictating what we learn, it's censorship, plain and simple to say that it's inappropriate for certain things to be taught about history as it might cause people to 'hate their country'. No? Being critical of my country's history is what helps foster positive change in the future. We need to know the past to learn from its mistakes. If we're not taught what that past, both the positives and the negatives, then how are we supposed to fix anything going forward?
