Someone brought in a 2220B for me to work on. They assumed it had power issues because nothing would light up. Turns out every single bulb was burned out and it worked fine. I bought a complete light kit and replaced the vellum. I used those frosted fuse bulbs. They don't have the usual hot spots. Probably not a big deal with the vellum.

I would think the vellum would help diffuse the light quite a bit. On the 'vs' video where I compared the traditional and frosted LEDs on the SX 737, I actually think the traditional may have diffused the light a bit better...regardless it was very close.
