Yo, Anomaly... I slapped an Evans EC2 Reverse Dot head and a PureSound Super30 strand wires on it... It sounds absolutely amazing. I dont even have a moon gel anywhere on it (although it could use them a little) and still sounds amazing just nice and tuned up... Great snare drum. I love it...

Love the sound... i was just about to purchase it from Amazon (i have 32 bucks in credits and its $117) but i think id change the snare wires to Tama's 20-strand super sensitive hi-carbon wires. It gives an awesome throaty punch and you dont have to worry about getting the snare rattle with them due to the way they were made... i really enjoyed hearing it as is though. It sounded great and you even mentioned you dont have it fully tuned to your liking. I subscribed to your channel. I love Tama and use to have a decent size Starclassic Warlord exotix spartan set which my father handed down to me when i was about 13 (the drum was made back in the 80's i think and they no longer make it) i had 2x 24x20 bass drums, 8in, 10in, 12in, and 13in rack toms and a 14in, and 16in floor toms. The kit was expensive back then as it was super easy to tune and not a whole lot were made (plus the Sabian AAX series cymbals just added to the beautiful sound). Ive always played with two bass drums or a double bass pedal. I stopped playing for almost 15 years though... the Tama set was sold while i was in the Army and when i came back i was more into cars. The church i used to play for was sold and changed into a day care center. I just recently got a Mapex Venus series. Not the highest quality but after a Tung oil treatment, turning my bass into a virgin bass drum and acquiring 3 extra toms im ready to play again. I have a mapex snare but its an inch or two away from being a piccolo snare lol. What you have seems to be the best. Im more of an Evans drum head fan but with those stock remo's, it sounds so on point and not once did i hear any snare rattle when you switched from tom to snare. Your kit sounds amazing bro... and i like your fast foot bass drum pedal work. Continue to post and ill continue to watch. Thanks for making this review, thus far yours has been the best.

Snares are too loose for my liking! I think the TAMA SLP 8x14 snare is the BEST for the money.

So do you have a video of it tuned high? I'm wondering how those little lug mounts will hold up under high tension.

I could truly say it really held up, about maybe a year ago the Rods eventually popped. For a cheap snare it was very reliable. Snares are trash but overall a pretty good snare to have as a backup or for practice.

@@OfficialATD24 👍 Yeah, a wire and head swap will fix that, and probably eventually bigger lug mounts. Thanks, brother.
