It's just a simple toggle switch but u have to get the right amps. I did this to my motorcycle cycle. When it hot out or stop in traffic. That thing runs hot I fixed that problem. My fan I put on turn my factory 1 off. Also when they both work my bike stay cooler. Same concept. Different vehicles

You have to cut ground , not + … then check engine will not pop up

Something going on with my clothes fan an solenoids. I noticed today my fan wasn't turning. Or turning slow. I researched an watch video. When my mechanic do fix my truck I will tell him I want this option to turn my fan on an off when I want not when the computer tell it to. I just tried it on dd15. This method is completely feasible. The test method is to pull out the plug and the fan rotates at high speed. my truck is 16 freighliner

I’m going to buy a lighted switch to help me remember when I leave it on - or off . How many amps? 20? 30 amp?

hat temperature is the fan clutch on ?

What is the amperage at the solenoid? Is a simple one throw switch enough? Or will it someday just bite you in the ass if you don't use a relay?

Few options . Your high pressure switch might be defective. Try to disconnect the plug from the fan clutch solenoid so the fan clutch actives and check if the AC blows cooler. Second option is to hook up the AC gauges and check the pressures on the system. If the low side is too high you might have a defective expansion valve or a clogged condenser
