If your truck has sat for sometime , build up the air pressure and shut it down with key on and manual override to fan on , 2 or 3 light taps on the fan clutch solved my problem within seconds ,don’t pressure wash around the fan , I e seen it several times se e times , it will cost u nothing to try this, !

If I put a manually fan switch , will it mess up my sensor because now my a/c clutch keeps turning on and off , and at the sensor connect and disconnect and it turns on and off .

There is a selonoid with a wire when you push the switch it sends power to the selonoid check air going to it and power

@@jorsot8839 I replaced the computer on my truck and now it works.

I have a dd15 , my fan woudent shut off, no air leaks , I started the truck and built up the air pressure and turned on the fan engage switch , gave it three light taps with a hammer , problem solved , just try it guys

My fan clutch is good and I replaced the sensor and fan is still not working is there anything outs to check ?

if you disconnect the Air line that goes to fan clutch fan should stay on. if it dont stay on after disconnecting from sensor you fan clutch have problem. sometimes fan dont turn on on time when driving. we can add a switch inside truck to turn on and off the fan manually. any machanic can do it under 50$.

Update I disconnected the airline and fan was working fine what can I do to get it working the right way if not I guess I’ll add the switch

Men if you are a mechanic you are not a good one))))) you have Kysor style FAIL SAFE clutch. If its going to be bad it will be always ON and you will see air leak around. Check to see air leaks and check the hub bearing condition

you can bend pipe and zip tie air line۔ also its just to save road service in case of emergency۔ not permanent solution۔ also۔ im not a machanic۔

Hi. I had this problem. I climbed a mountain, then the fan didn't work at 230 Temperature, came red light and I stopped. After two hours I disconnected the fan wire electric and added antifreeze coolant. It worked, the fan working all the time and continued to drive. My question is Can I continue to drive more 2,000 miles to see my mechanic with the fan working all the time? I appreciate your answer.

Some time it locks up because of water. All you need to do is tap it with a hammer lightly it will loosen the rust. Don't be that stupid to do it with the engine on. 😏
