This another great speech that I came across. The first hour of the video, every second of it was so captivating, so engrossing and so worthwhile that this is a benchmark of speeches that is supposed to be shared and listend among students, intellectuals, thinkers and individuals. Loved it ❤️. Respect. I wish to meet her someday. A very good personality.

it requires some level of comprehension to find faults. in first few minutes she dismisses the existence of India before British rule and then she goes on to say we launch this nation after we adopted constitution- not sure what she meant by that. did we launch India in 1947? was there no India before that.

Zara dekhiye-We must stop this hate mongering my upper caste Hindus. We must bring about Ambedkar’s and Gandhiji’s freedom struggle 2.0 with some variant of NYAY and rule of law and true constitutional democracy. Supreme Court said demolition was illegal and wrong. I have read 1045 page ruling. However, they were afraid bloodthirsty RSS goons like Kapil Misra and Sambit Patra would go around killing as they did in Feb in Delhi. My Dad was a freedom fighter and a Pol Sc Professor. He passed away at age 96 in March 2020. We lost everything in partition. My grandfather was killed. But we were brought up secular. My parents were so proud of indep throughout their lives. Please give 10-30 minutes of your time. Professor Shanti Swarup, 96, teaches Secularism 101... Various good people are muddying the waters about secularism. In my humble view, conceptually and in very simple terms, secularism was something consciously adopted and accepted by people who were tired of civil war and killing each other. It is why Gandhi, Nehru, Patel, Ambedkar, Maulana Azad pursued it for India even if it was formally added into the constitution later. It is the same with the concept of democracy, and the concepts of liberty, fraternity, equality. The whole idea of a constitution. Secularism was never something, anywhere in the world, that people developed or accepted spontaneously. People accepted it because they were tired of hate and wanted to improve their lives and live in peace. People various religions practice their religions privately. In a new democracy, secularism is supposed to be superimposed on various religious groups so they can live together peacefully within one territory and pursue other objectives such as healthcare, food, education, competing with other powers like China. Why are people in India going down the rabid path of looking for cultural causes of the failure of secularism--this is only going to muddy the water further so we make things worse, not better. We have to create a common vision for India together. Yes, reversing Shah Bano judgment was a big mistake for which we have been paying a heavy, heavy price. But we need to move on towards a more perfect union. This why USA, UK, Australia, etc have pursued secularism and they are also trying to move towards a more perfect union. It is why India chose secularism and we must continue to pursue a more perfect union. It is the crux of the point that my father, Professor Shanti Swarup, was covering in his videos here. Please do give a few minutes of your time to review the issue of secularism, specifically as discussed in the videos. Thank you. Dhanyawad. @rajiv savant You are an anti-national. unpatriotic follower of Gowalkar who loved Hitler and Mussolini, follower of Godse, killer of Gandhi. It is why Patel was angry that RSS aguys distributed sweets when Godse murdered Gandhiji. Is that the legacy you'll tell your grandchildren--ha ha ha. Ever thought what they would have done with the brown Aryans? Your anscestors would also be in the oven. It is the mistake Subhash Chander Bose also made, not deliberately but your guys like Savarkar deliberately polished British shoes and loved the Nazis. what kind of nationalism and patriotism is that? ha ha ha Laughing stock in the whole wide world you guys.

Thank you. Dhanyawad.
