    I have my gaming lifestyle since 1993 and I am happy, optimistic and I enjoy life. It never gets boring, there is so much to do. It is not escapism for me, it is a part of life I enjoy the most. And thanks for liking Pokémon, I am one :3

    Great as always man, this explanation clearly depicts how gaming is as good as any other hobby, despite how it is oftenly satanized as a purely addictive waste of time. Keep it up, can't wait for your next upload!

    Wow , that's a great way of thinking about gaming. For me it was always a way of procastination/avoiding doing stuff But integrating it to your routine actually feels way more beneficial. Great video as always , Video-Making-Dude!

    Really glad you can agree. It's why I made it a point to mention that I think it's just a more positive approach, because I also understand how/why people think games can he used as a crutch to avoid other things.

    Ahhhh the fine line of work/life/gaming balance. A fine dance indeed. Mine is ever changing as well. Now I pretty much block at least an hour or two every night to relax and get some gaming time in. Same goes for the weekends. Side note. Dug a lot of the edits here. Wasn’t 4 mins of you sitting in 1 spot. Lots of movement to help enhance the story.

    Over the past few years, I realized that as I got more skilled at my job I happily had less time for video games. I was beginning to enjoy working on my daily life more and more, and had gratification with direct benefits to myself and others. Video games are fun and gratifying, but committing to becoming skilled and applying it to your daily life can become fun as well. Video games have puzzles, but life can be an even better puzzle to tackle sometimes. I still play video games to de-stress, but I find a lot more joy in voice over, video editing, and multi-media now and don't solely need video games.

    I totally agree with you, I mix my work work with my video games work during the days I work from home. It's all about embracing it and also balancing it. I normally reward myself with game breaks when I have completed a work task. #WhatsUpThoseStairs

    This could be a really smart idea for someone like myself. I try to delegate my time between work, resting off the work, spending time with my family, chores, and then games (notice games are at the end). Because of the order in which I prioritize them, I sometimes don't get to games at all for days or a week or so at a time, which for me, can lead to some depression that can easily stack with other things. It might seem weird, but video games are the place my mind truly shuts all the other stuff out, and I truly escape to something fantastical. Otherwise, my mind just stresses all the things to a point of cold shoulder agitation. Plus, if I'm hangry at the same time, ohhhhh boy. I think I'll look into this scheduling tactic though. 👍

  • @KurtIndovina

    @KurtIndovina

    5 жыл бұрын

    It doesnt seem weird! That's why I made it a point to say that games are our escapism, and it's that escapism makes life better. You should definitely see what happens if you start scheduling game time, even if it's in hour chunks.

    It's nice to see how you switch games, I usually focus on one title, but I am considering your method as Cyber punk 2077 is a calling. I really want 20 to 40 minutes of cyberpunk 2077 a day along everything else I need to do.

    I can't find balance between my job and my relationship and gaming at the moment(even tho I don't have almost any social life besides that ) but I think I'm somehow a little ... Off and out of touch with that hobby anyways, I should probably end the story of red Dead redemption 2 and stop hunting bambi's family members! ha ! Great video as always Kurt ! Looking good man !
