When a disabled woman enters a grocery store, she is amazed by the variety of products on display. However, a brief encounter with the manager suddenly turns her experience sour when he berates her for no reason. She is inclined to forgive and forget, but when his disrespectful attitude extends to an employee she remembers from a few years ago, she decides she’s had enough. I'm a disabled Vietnam Veteran, rated at 100%. While shopping with my helper as I use a wheel chair. She left me to grab her car and told me to wait. I made a mistake and move closer to the drive and flipped over ... to my surprise at least 6-7 people ran over to me and helped me get back up and picked up my purchases ... it showed me there are still kind, caring people around.

I worked for a manager like that. Also a grocery store. We all made apologies for his behavior. After numerous complaints he was fired by upper management. Staff and customers were so pleased. KARMA

I work at Sam's Club in Clearwater Florida. No manager is going to treat anyone this way. If they catch word of anyone in a wheelchair or not being disrespected like this, the manager would be gone. If an associate did this and got caught, they would be gone.

i was in my 20s I worked on large equestrian center in the uk, 300 horses, all the staff did not want to help the bosses wife. I ran the main row of stable’s near the main house. I didn’t know the boss wife, her horse was cald trooper, I prepared her horse and helped her on , she thanked me because she had terrible arthritis . I didn’t initially know who she was, until I was told it was the wife of the owner. She was very kind to me!

Sometimes it takes something shocking like this, getting fired in such a swift and spectacular way, to shake a person who has made a career in retail management enough to cure them of their superiority complex and arrogance. Perhaps he is young enough to make the necessary changes in his life and attitude, Time will tell.

If your in Hawaii on the island of Oahu come to the times super market on liliha street. I’ve shopped there for many years. I’m old now and my heart acted up one day when I was trying to check out. They let me rest at the checkout until I felt better and I could walk out. They were very considerate.

Great story, just a little long. I would love to hear why this store manager became so hatefull. What happends in someones life that they discriminate of become so unfriendly? And what do they need to change? Like: why is the bully bullying? There is a good reason for that and I would love to hear that.

The reason that so many companies are in a mess is due to the wrong person being in management. A company will only ever be as good as it's managers, it goes without saying he should have been fired. In my experience the best managers are the ones that started at the bottom and worked their way up not someone who came in with bits of paper with a degree in this and that.

I think he is a goner. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he sued the place thinking that they robbed him of his rights to discriminate against people with disabilities. What the manager did was illegal. What I learned in Job Club at work is true. You pull anything that is discriminatory and you get fired on the spot.

I have a similar story. My uncle married a female who was pregnant with a baby girl. They moved to be near his parents. The mother was well connected. The man's wife went to apply for some assistance from the state. The state employee had been in love with the man's oldest brother when she was in high school. The state employee decided to get back at the family by altering the documents that were filed in an attempt to get the assistance. My new aunt was upset and she went to my grandmother who called her old friend who was a supervisor in a different town and was in charge of the office in which my aunt went to. My grandmother's friend was angry about it and she told my grandmother that she would take care of it.
