billy russo. Well, sometimes it is, just not all the time. In an interview Henry Cavill explained that sometimes it was simply not possible to have the cape do what it was visually supposed to do and sometimes it made moving the way Henry Cavill was supposed to move impossible as well. In those instances the cape was added in post production.🌬🤩

If the suits were designed to be like that they wouldn’t have been able to jump (Not fly) huge distances, supernatural strength and super speed aside from their combat training. Don't feel bad we were being conditioned by the critics who were being paid by the marvel machine anyone says differently they are being disingenuous or intellectually dishonest at best. DC never had a chance in the mid to late 2000s because marvel had alot of power especially when it came to rotten tomatoes and the so called word of mouth in Hollywood. The truth is this film was fantastic but Kevin fiege needs to be called out everyone knew that guy was having critics bomb DC films. Just look up Kevin's association with Warner Bros studios you'll see why the real reason they killed Zack Snyders justice league film and who was instrumental in having josh weddon destroy his vision

0:45 kinda scary how Cavill looks like Superman just came out of the page of a comic book. He was a really good casting for Superman, it's truly a shame WB didn't try to build off of MoS and really let Henry go to extreme depths with the character. Hopefully they'll make another Superman film before I get too old!!! Probably will have 10 more Batman films before then.

Christopher Reeve was, and always will be Superman and Clark Kent. Brandon Routh played a pitch perfect Clark Kent and Cavill was awesome as Superman but at the end of the day, anyone playing this character is trying to be Chris Reeve playing Superman. Way it should be.

It came out at the worst time possible: - It was perceived as the start of the DCEU, which most people tend to compare to the MCU and therefore has some elitism feelings towards it - The MCU just hit their all-time high notes with the success of The Avengers in 2012, a movie that was alot more colorful and light hearted compared to this movie, setting a standard that this movie never even planned to try to achieve - It was the first DC movie after the Dark Knight Triology has ended. People's expectation was at least as high as any other Christopher Nolan mpvie that they're grown acustomed with

Hardcore fan here. BvS is decent. Kinda Prequel to the another Masterpiece Justice League Snyder's vision. Not Joss Whedon's Russia cut. BvS leaned towards more Religion and darker Cinematography, which is pretty good i mean, you can rewatch BvS scenes, like several times without getting bored.

Lois: Giving Superman something to do since the early 90s.

Knowing that was the last time father and son spoke face to face, it was good that Jor-El ended it with words of inspiring Kal-El to save the humans instead of saving Krypton.

Hands down! Zach Snyder's "Man of Steel" is the best Superman movie I have seen in my life thus far! This movie is absolutely phenomenal in my opinion! I find the story, scientific concepts, philosophical ideas, acting, directing, music, cinematography and visual effects to be just powerful! It is definitely one of my favorite movies. I would even say it is one of the top ten films so far from the 2010s decade, along with "Cloud Atlas", "Les Miserables", "Coriolanus", "The Great Gatsby", "Exodus: Gods and Kings" and "12 Years A Slave".

0:10 notice how clark's hair and cape are flowing outwards to the vacuum of space, while jor-el's hair and clothes stay stationary, good little detail

Marvel fan and the things I most liked about the movie is the theme, and the shots that Zack Synder did, I mean man wow, the shot at 0:40 is amazing, Superman looks so majestic with his cape an all and mixed with the soundtrack it’s a masterpiece

Someone needs to tell/remind wb how good this movie was/is they need to know and listen to their fans

Snyder gave DC a god-like feeling in his films, that is something Marvel never achieved, so to me, that filmmaker could do anything to give us powerful JL part 2-3-4 man… what a shame he’s gone, he was the one who could just give dc his true legacy.

The glide backwards out of the ship is a goosebumps moment for me. Beyond epic!

I remember watching man of steel 8 years ago, it was a master piece,i just couldn't understand the critics, and Hans Zimmer score is nothing less than amazing

best comic movie ever made, on par with the dark night trilogy, but as a stand alone, this is the best. the score, the cgi, the acting, everything that is at stake in the movie is pitched brilliantly

This movie was actually supposed to be in the same universe as The Dark Knight trilogy too

I vividly remember this scene standing out to me the most when I first saw this in the movie theatre. It was such a powerful, emotional, and epic scene. This one scene gives true meaning to the phrase "superhero" as Kal-El urgently rushes to save Lois with Hans Zimmer's powerful and heroic musical score going along with him.

Fans: You can save all of them. Henry: Sorry guys I can't save these clowns at DC.

Rewatched the whole zacksnyderverse and I’m still intrigued by how great that verse would be if we got the rest of films as we were supposed to

The way he turns to protect her from the blast. Gold.

You know you came back because he T-posed again in Snyder Cut.

In this masterpiece of a movie that’s my favorite line.. Jor-El : “You can save her Kal, you can save all of them.”

0:09 I like that little detail when Kal makes hole into the ship's hull and atmosphere is sucked out his hair and cape are affected by it but it have no effect on Jor since he is only AI hologram 😎

“You can save her, Kal.” *”You can save all of them.”*

So many emotions go through me when I watch this scene. I think about my father, who now has dementia, and the advice he gave me while I was a young man. I think about my fiancee, who I will be marrying in a few months, and how I'll always be there for her so she feels safe and secure in our love. And I think about myself, about the man I am becoming so I can be a positive force of good for my family and hopefully my fellow human. I adore this scene.

Greatest superman movie ever made, IMO greatest superman to ever be on screen and if rumours are to be believed thank Christ he’s back!

Notice how when he poses like Jesus, he also does that in the ocean after the oil rig. He was under the water not knowing his purpose. Now hes above the earth and finally knows his purpose.

Greatest superman movie ever made, it’s cannot be replicated. Not even form Zack himself

Superman posing as The Cross sign is what makes this even more interesting. Zack and Henry we already miss you. 😭

@@_briandickerson_ from earth the sun looks yellow because of diffraction and some other reasons From space where there’s no atmosphere the sun appears to be white so it’s shown as white

The last words Kal-El hears from his biological father's consciousness - "You can save her Kal. You can save all of them" And then you pair this with the scene in BvS when he sacrifices his life to save the world from Doomsday. One of many things I love about Zack Snyder's trilogy. ❤️

Both the 1978 Superman and 2006's Superman Returns are laden with Christ allegory as well. It's pretty well impossible to avoid with Superman. People who complain about it should find another superhero, lol.

because both are symbols that align with each other.

Jor El is such a chad. He never met humanity, he likely learned that Kryptonians were superior to all beings like Zod was taught, and yet he is such a good man that he doesn’t tell his son to just wipe humanity out and bring Krypton back, but instead to decide to either try to bring both peoples together or save humanity and let Krypton stay fallen.

There was so much epicness in the Snyder/Zimmer/JunkieXL combination. Too bad WB got too much in the way and didn't let the universe grow. Instead they tried to focus on matching Marvel numbers too quickly and made a mess. While I do believe bringing in Wonder Woman in a Batman/Superman movie was too soon and that second Batman v Superman trailer revealing TOO much, I feel the DCEU had great potential to evolve without blowing it up. WB just had some bad apples and made some bad decisions.

I think about this scene often, this line particularly: "We wanted you to learn what it meant to be human first..." that entire sequence of dialogue is awe inspiring and grand in scale. Perfect for a Superman movie combined with the visual flare and grandiose soundtrack behind it all. It's an amazing film.
