I don't think the DA's office can get a conviction in this case, it is extremely defensible to the accused. Who is a 17 year old that Boopac was publicly accusing of being a Pedophile, thats an extremely aggravating circumstance in and of itself. Then when the minors who did nothing wrong tried to just leave the situation Boopac physically attacked them. If I was on a jury there is no way I would convict them based on those circumstances, I would have trouble sleeping at night knowing I had thrown away the lives of two kids who were minding their own business and were forced to defend themselves. I wouldn't even convict them if they were white. There's not a chance a Detroit jury convicts them, and I think the prosecutors office should decline to prosecute the case.

To be fair, have you ever looked at a map of where convicted sex offenders live? These people are everywhere -- and these maps lit up with red dots and blotches are just the sex offenders that we know about. It's impossible for the police to monitor everyone who could potentially prey on children. So, to say that if the cops had been out there looking for pedos that Boopac would still be alive, is a big stretch.
