JayNaySayre Sayre Yeah, a "hell of a job" waiting until his scrotum was so big it was debilitating. The video also said that he needs to learn how to walk again because of nerve damage.

Why wasnt he referred for surgery years ago? Why did that first doctor tell him he had to "lose weight" before they could do anything for him? That was a lie. That lie cost this patient almost a decade of his life. That doctor should have to pay for his malpractice.

char west He still has to lose weight. He didn't even try. He says he exercised but didn't say if he lost any weight when he was told too. Maybe it would have been an easy fix. In obese patients the fluids don't drain properly.

That was a lie that he had to lose weight BEFORE they could help him. Can you imagine trying to lose weight when its excruciatingly painful to move? Meanwhile this thing kept growing! It weighed over 100 pounds!! "We can do it in two weeks" the second doctor told him. That was the truth. He should have been referred immediately, not left on his own for years while it grew and grew. What a nightmare..

char west That's why you need a second opinion... I think the first Dr wanted to try and treat the cause of the disease, the second was ok with treating the symptom. If he doesn't lose weight, something may happen to him again.

I agree you should ideally get a second opinion. But that shouldn't let the first doctor off the hook. It was a growth, not a disease. Waiting only let it grow bigger. It should have been removed while it was small, not allowed to grow.

char west You are not in the medical field are you. It wasn't a growth, it was a build up of lymph, basically fluid that didn't drain properly, probably due to his weight.

He seems like such a nice person. Hopefully the numbness goes away and he can walk again ❤️

Apparently people forgot about the Hippocratic oath A Doctor takes . He or she needs no glorification. Especially when you see their Salaries for a career they chose. How about the firemen who run into the fire while others are running away from it.

Starli it was a complicated surgery and they always warn the patient of the risks, so they can decide whether or not to proceed. This man admits that he does not regret having the surgery, so I would say that yes, they did do a good job.

Gotta admit! I came here for the comments! And I wasn't disappointed. Genuine kindness all around. This guy has truly suffered. All the very best for him.💕

I really respect this man and his family. He is so strong to be able to be as open hearted, or emotionally vulnerable as he has been, especially on TV. It's beautiful. J Reyes I was hoping that the fact that the surgery freed him from the sac of damn bowling balls he was carrying around between his legs would mean he could get out and MOVE, and thus lose the weight. But the surgery complication where they damaged his nerves and now he can't feel his legs and can't walk? This poor guy can't get a break! Either the struggle of trying to walk will make the weight melt off, or the difficulty of it will keep him sedentary, and he'll be back to the same immobility (at least hopefully not as painful). Either way, I just feel for the guy and wish him the very best.

I saw a video about this man recently. Poor guy's scrotum weighed 100 lbs!! He could barely walk, and could not do anything for himself. He was not even able to leave the house. His wife, Cindy I believe, is an absolute ANGEL!!! She cared for him, was the sole breadwinner in the home, and was so kind to him, and cared for him with a smile on her face!! I work in Healthcare, and you sometimes meet people like Dan who I consider to be a cut above the rest. I've met hundreds of people, but few are like Dan. I wish him the best in life, and life to come.

yeni tri okta rina no god won't make it happen because he isn't real. If someone's life needs to be improved then they can't just pray to a magical fairy hoping everything will be okay. He needs to do it himself with help from doctors and his family

Holy crap. 85lbs?! That’s LITERALLY a huge weight off his shoulders.

I'm so pleased to see that Dan has made it through surgery. One of his earlier videos made it's way into my recommendation box and so it's nice to see him further along in his life.
