Preordered Waterworld and Lighthouse. Waiting for a UK release for Mallrats. Also used up my budget for May, Jun and Jul already. Bummer. 😂

Got that sick video store set for 'Robot Jox' alone. And 'Waterworld' is a cinematic treasure.

I quite like Waterworld, particularly the Ulysses Cut. In a perfect world, that cut would be in 4K, so I won't double dip from Arrow's Blu-ray.

Damn, I'm going to have to get that arrow box set.

The extended cut of mallrats adds scenes to the beginning before they get to the mall.

Never. And the near 3 hour runtime always scared me.

Mallrats was my introduction [at 8 yrs old] into the View Askewniverse so you know that's a day 1!

I have never been able to get those 3D posters to work with my eyes either Russ. I partially enjoy Waterworld because it played on cable all the time in the 90s and early 00s. It was literally on tv every week. Anyone who spent time at Universal Studios would have caught the live show they ran all the time as well. The story behind the movie is more fascinating than the movie itself as its production was legendary.

You feel my pain, Marc... I remember feeling legitimately bummed out as a child when other kids could haha... Also, didn't they invent a fresh water converter for Waterworld that ended up being a significant invention? I vaguely remember hearing something about that once...

Robot jox is a classic and it's been oop print forever. That's what I want

I LOVE WATERWORLD!! please watch this again on 4K when you have the time, maybe have a beer or two or whatever tickles your fancy but it’s great entertainment !!!! I mean it’s mad max on water, what more do you want? !!

How much screentime does Hopper have? This will sway me... I'm not a Costner guy, but Hopper may be in my top 10 favorite actors.

Man the video store box art reminded of event from when I was like 8 so 1992ish. A friend's mom went to the local video store and picked up what looked like a sci-fi movie to her and had the staff tell her it was for kids. Put it in for us to watch and walked away. Moments later she runs into the room when she her loud moaning and grunts. She quickly turned it off and called up the video store to chew them out because they had rented her a softcore porn.

Dolls is super fun cheese.

i have waterworld 4k and very few scenes have that wow factor but I love that it comes with the ulysses cut on blu ray :)

Interested to see how much of an upgrade it is.

I've got the older 4K version. I picked it up on black Friday for less than $10. The movie is ok but not great. Looks good in 4k but the DTS-X audio sounds great on my system.

I saw Waterworld in a theatre at the time with some friends from high school, and we found it ok but felt it lacked something. We learned that the huge flop of Heaven’s Gate scared all studios into cutting short their coming releases, and Waterworld was coming up next in the calendar. Much later I got the Ulysses cut, and it makes for a much better movie. I’ve watched the first 4K version but I can’t get over the gaps in the story now. The Ulysses cut is the only one for me now. Recommended.

No UK release for Mallrats 😔. I know I complain a lot in the comments but we miss out on loads it winds me up. I have to let out my frustration somehow lol.

I only watch movies that star Kevin Hart... so I've seen everything released in the past 10 years.

Waterworld is sick it was just viewed as disappointing because of its budget. Good movie though

Robin Hood better then Waterworld but I’m 100% getting both on 4k limited edition

I guess you guys never seen Mr. Brooks.🤦‍♂ If you haven't do yourself a favor and see it. A classic movie in my opinion and a classic Kevin Costner role. Can't recommend this film enough.

I've seen it and didn't hate it... I also completely admit bias. I don't like his presence, he's wooden to me... Wording it that way sounds harsh, but I wouldn't call him a bad actor so I know it's just personal taste (if that makes sense). I have nothing against him but nothing for him either... For the record, I'm a fan of Untouchables & JFK and think he's perfectly fine in those.

Would anyone want the traumatic experience of watching water world nevermind owning it

Russ adds almost zero value. I’d bet a channel with just Matt would be much more successful.
