Absolutely beautiful! However, I‘d argue that the Route in reverse is even more stunning: Col de Soller from the South is amazing, with all those hairpins. Then, you get to climb the biggest climb on Mallorca, the Puig Major (Tùnel de Monnabar). Sa Calobra is the same, which ever way you go about it, but coming up to Cap Formentor is one of the most stunning things, and a perfect way to end a ride.

if Mallorca sounds intriguing - this video does NOT do it justice - it is even BETTER than shown - Mallorca is certainly a cycling Mecca - seems every time Hank said - " just LOOK at that view over there! " and pointed left or right - the camera seemed to QUICKLY focus on the bike wheels ? - not sure why they started at Cap de Formentor when you usually cycle to that location from Port de Pollenca and then come out as it too is a one-way road like Sa Colobra which is an epic climb - the roads are exceptional - traffic is usually light in the off-season but far less so in the summer - I heard they are usually PACKED then and definitely to be avoided - the scenery is simply STUNNING everywhere you look and then you get incredible panoramic vistas of the Bays and Sea breaking out every so often - mild temperatures with low rain - highly recommended but GCN should have done it more justice - NOT TO MISS

I went there when I was in the Marines. I wish I had my bike the entire time I was there.

Perhaps it’s time for a GCN trip to the states and a ride up Mt Lemmon this winter. One of the more well-known climbs on this side of the world. Winter is a good time for it too, you get to see some pros out here training around then.

I have serious ambitions to ride in Mallorca. I recently did a little bit of cycling in the Isle Of Man, and that has some stunning roads to ride too. Druidale, Snaefell and Bungalow were all highlights for me.

Awesome video, as always! You have to try Serra da Estrela, the highest point in mainland Portugal. Vale Glaciar, all the way up from Manteigas to Torre, is a bliss!!

Could you possibly have the best job in the world? Riding with your mate ( I hope 😂) in an amazing location, followed by a delicious looking dinner.

I've been to Mallorca twice in April and it snowed both times. So it is not always great weather. Hoping to make it third time lucky next spring

I am glad Conor made it home. Every time he drifted over the line, I kept thinking, "this isn't Ireland."

Mallorca is fab. Was there on holiday at end August. Sadly too hot to cycle (for me!). The bikes on view are amazing. The bike shop in Peurto Pollenca is amazing. Wall to wall pinarellos. Interestingly more expensive to hire a road bike than a car at 50-60 euro a day.
