    Personally I think they are too dark for something you actually want to eat. This is a comp steak it’s made to taste good for one bite as a actual steak you eat for dinner the pure black marks will taste bitter and burnt.

    You didn't mention how long you cooked them after flipping? I'm assuming another 8 min, turn, another 2. Then take them off?

  • @GrillaGrills

    @GrillaGrills

    7 жыл бұрын

    Total cook time was about 8 minutes. When in doubt go by internal temp. We were shooting for medium rare here so we pulled them off at around 130 and they carried over a bit to about 135.

    I'd like to ask why you use the steak weights. Ive been in fine dining most of my culinary career and have always been steered clear of them. Would love to know what kind of difference it would make other than the deeper grill marks? It would also seem to me you would loose more moisture this way? Simply asking and not criticism. Cheers

  • @GrillaGrills

    @GrillaGrills

    Preference really. It doesn't make too much of a difference. It does help a bit with getting full grill marks from the grill grates. Thanks for watching!

  • @GrillaGrills

    Yes, although most people will do a reverse sear on the Grilla or Silverbac to take advantage of the smoke flavors.

    Amazing thanks for the quick feedback. I mostly cook burgers and steak. Like to try Rib's too. Which BBQ would you recommend? Leaning toward the grills but like the look of the Silverback. Will choose performance over anything

  • @GrillaGrills

    Both will put out great tasting food. That being said, the Grilla does produce a bit more smoke because of the unique shape. It has a vortex type effect to the venting. It also is slightly more efficient with pellets. On the other hand, you can fit a bit more on the Silverbac. You can't go wrong either way. Check out the FB group My Grilla Grill Smoker. Lot's of people have been in your exact situation. Also, here are some burgers we did on the Silverbac ----> kzread.info/dash/bejne/dG2FwauxiNLPhaw.html
