Tip. You can use your air compressor to clean the blades. Use a screw driver to keep the fan blade from turning. Makes quick work of a dirty blade.

I have been wondering about these fans because the ones I have seen sell a separate battery that can be used for some of their other products. I've been fooled by battery-operated fans before though. Glad you did this review!

I have other Makita stuff and I already had the batteries and charger. I have had a good run out of my Makita gear and I have been using the fan every day some battery fans don't put out much air but the one I bought puts out plenty. John

A fan is probably not on your list of priorities at the moment but we are going into summer here. Its already getting hot 33 deg C the other day. John

Guess you have decided. You did not need the Biochar Cruncher? We are going into the fall. First day we had 11 degrees c.

No not at all I had a bit of trouble finding the Blade material (spring steel) but I have it now and I am slowly getting it done. Fertilizer prices have doubled here in Australia so it will go to the top of the list as soon as I can see daylight. 11 deg c is what it got down to in winter here this year. John
