Exactly as, more or less...(say more), does every youtuber in this particular field! And we, poor devils... would like to do it, but we don't have such a multitude of expensive tools. 😮😢... 😂😂😅😅 Btw... a really good job !
It’s like a pet for woodworker! Nice project!
@CraftyDude thanks for the lesson! I'll have to adjust the design for me until I learn welding. What a great idea to make and SELL to small workshops! People seriously need to stop being so negative... I appreciate you sharing your skills with us! It takes time and effort to make videos. Some people don't understand you can adjust a project to suit their needs. There are places like Lee Valley that provide classes and you can rent shop space depending on the area...
Free plans? Dude Thanks! That's awesome!
Great project! Perfect execution! Thank you for sharing!
You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice kzread.infoUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.
That's a nice build. At first I thought you scavenged the vice assembly from a proper workmate. Fair props for making it yourself.
I've been thinking of a solution like this for a while. Your video helped out allot. Thanks for sharing your great craftsmanship.
What an amazing piece of work.
Very nice! With a few changes and some fold up legs. This is exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks for the idea, it is great!

Absolutely loved this video, you are quite a craftsman. Thanks for this!

Awesome! Great work!
This is so smart! Thanks 🙏
Great project! Looks like a very useful addition to a shop, thank you for sharing
This is a brilliant design. I love it. However many of us are not metal workers at this level. If this design could be adapted to some off the shelf hardware it would be perfect.

Thank you👍 welding part can be changed into screws and rivets, but still will be needed some metalworking skills to make such a project🤔
I'm going to make one...! Great idea.
Eccellente lavoro! Credo che ne coostruirò uno uguale. Grazie infinite per i disegni condivisi!!
Amaazing ,,istimewa 👍
Cool. The luxury version of a workmate!
great idea. i also have some left over timber froma solid wood worktop like you used. thanks for the ideas
Amigo, que coisa bem feita, "e útil", parabéns e grato por compartilhar, sucesso !!!!!
Great idea!! Love it.
Now I want to build one!
beautiful! please consider posting the plans as an imgur album also, that's far easier to share around.
Muy buen trabajo .te felicito 👌
Sensacional!!! Muchs gracias!
Very very very very good! Thank you very much!
And now i know what i want as a mobile bench thank you my friend👍
This is brilliant. Thank you, and thank you for the plans. The only difference I will incorporate is a single pin into each side of the the large vice, so that I can grip angled objects. Just something I have found useful on other work benches, but this is a brilliant piece of kit, and beautifully made..!!!

can't you already do that with the dog holes?

IIUC, Tintin is suggesting adding a dog (pin) or two on the _vise_ that operates perpendicular to the vise that is built into the workbench proper. A similar functional effect could be had by having a nautiloid cam available for use on a third pin i.e. one not matched, in use, with a pin on the other part (half) of the tabletop itself.
Congratulations, you’ve made half of a Work-Mate!

Great video. Thankyou Sir. I have a couple Black and Decker workmates that need new tops so I guess they'll get oak bench tops. God Bless.

I am sure that many of us novices/amateurs/weekend warriors would welcome folk like you producing parts lists (down to the smallest item) as we just don’t know what to ask for search for when and if we need to. I am convinced it would increase the uptake of your videos!? Thanks in anticipation Bob England

…so these probably won’t be available at IKEA or Harbor Freight anytime soon? Dang it! Nice job on this. Really!
Wow, great Job! I've been working with wood for a while now, but never in my life used a welding machine. This video convinced me to learn welding. It seems to open a complete new world of possibilities.

Sir get a stick welder. It's cheapest to run and you don't need gas. You can keep a good selection of different rods without investing top dollar. I have stick, mig and tig all have their uses. The easiest and most versatile is stick.

@@joelongstaff7601 thanks for the recommendation! As the initial budget will be limited, that's probably what I'll opt for!
Good work!!awesome
I have a very similar small bench but without the vice on the end but good addition that! Mine will have one soon now. 😁 Something mine does have is a routed-groove along the length of each jaw of the top which allows me to grip a soft tube along the length like copper pipe without compressing & damaging it. Nice job here though 👍

Just make a fold up stand. That thing is perfect. Haven’t seen the end yet, but I’m betting if you had some feet or a way to quick clamp or bolt. Great for any bench or on site! 👍🏻

Awesome work. I’m subscribing. Would love to see you’re design for a small, mobile router table that can work with a battery router for working outdoors.
Man that was such a great idea! I’ve been wanting to build something similar. Got a lot ideas from yours. Thanks
Very nice design. Maybe the small "jaw/side" should be static and the other one move instead. So you could clamp the working piece near the corner of the table. Just a thought, I don't know If it could be pratical.
All i need to do is learn how to weld, buy a table saw and have the space to put all the stuff in my small workshop.
Sell it man, sell it!!!
I was like yup this is the portable workbench I want to make watched the full video and I’m like yup no way I can make this till I have a bigger shop and learn to weld and buy an angle grinder
Satisfying
Wow sangat keren
Ah, the good old fashioned catch 22. "To make your small portable workbench for small shops, first you're going to need your fully stocked yet large and open workshop."
