Yep, as many of the desert sand were made, it is nearly impossible to find them for parts. Appreciate that you are keeping it as stock as possible. They really are generally fun to drive when still stock.

My unit is a 94 Lorado and with a particular low gear component as transmission. It is completely stock with zero rust and pristine interior. I fitted a fresh, low miles 4.0 engine several years ago and this winter as shop time, a brand new torque converter with the full lock up feature. At idle, it will effortlessly crawl up and over berms, thru ditches. What is so interesting is where the modern, delivered production 4x4 have huge hidden costs as module, combined with cheap wiring, lessened metal strength. With calculated weak components to the XJ within preventative maint, exact refit or with selective best kit upgrade, these units become very reliable and continue to a sturdy * useful appearance. Take note, My 94 truly is happy at slightly slower high way speed. The huge cargo space as for camping or incidental travel, allow for lots of modern fun. For any used similar type, the WJ is more fitted to larger hi-way speed. And might suit new owners with long range as needed first to drive requirement. And require a developed parts replacement, in particular to the steering and suspension. As for why, I continue to look forward to the XJ, package, is where I can plan a vacation to quite any natural terrain.

For the bumper ends use Kiwi liquid shoe polish works great and lasts

I didn’t want to buy the 3m wheel to remove the glue so I used lemon essential oil. Took a little elbow grease and a microfiber towel but it wasn’t bad at all.

Wow, really nice, taking the side trim was a cool idea, I personally think the 97 plus look better without those plastic trims on the sides of the doors, took mine off, (Solar Yellow) great job with, basically restoration series lol.
