Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. I vote for keeping it stock. These XJs aren’t going to be around forever. Stock ones will be Dodo’s soon

Considering I had a vehicle loss recently, even a 1k vehicle sounds like a amazing find Most places are selling them for a LOT more

Nice find! Too nice to mod, really. Get the engine figured out and keep the receipts, clean up the front body issues, replace the usual sagged rear springs, detail the rest...and that should easily get $8-10k with that mileage (and the nearly flawless camel interior).

I love XJs (just got my first one), I wouldn't have passed that one up either. It's low-miles for one of those, so I wouldn't pull the whole motor, just pull and replace the head. But, I've never done that much on a 4.0 before, only SBCs and 22REs, so my opinion is skewed.
