At Topaz we are known for our detailing, having offered our Level 1 to 5 Details for over 12 years. In 2023 we have taken detailing to the next level: Sub Zero. Our Sub Zero detail is a form of ‘dry ice blasting’ which uses frozen CO2 pellets to transform your car, without damaging it. However, we are not talking about paintwork here, our Sub Zero detail goes underneath your car, removing years of road grime from the underbody, engine bay and suspension components, in many cases making them look like brand new again.
Dry ice blasting is not a new craft, however, at Topaz we have finessed the technique to guarantee that the service is always offered at the uncompromising Topaz standard, in line with our paint correction and paint protection services. We have the latest state of the art equipment coupled with years of experimentation and testing to be able to offer Ice Blasting like you’ve never seen it before.
Underneath a car there are many sensitive components, coatings and lines that must not be damaged. We are very careful to never use excessive pressure on any part of the car to guarantee nothing is damaged or compromised, whilst still achieving the maximum effect and result. Your car will never have been treated so well or looked so good!
Dry Ice Blasting is able to remove everything from dirt, grime and grease to rust/oxidisation, overspray and coatings (when desired). Better yet, this treatment is safe to use on paint, metal, plastic and rubber.
This process works by blasting soft CO2 pellets at high pressure onto the surface in question. Upon contact the pellets immediately turn to gas, and the extreme temperature (-79°C) thermally shocks the contaminants, causing them to lose adhesion with the surface.
We are also able to combine this treatment with any number of underbody coatings/sealants to make sure your car stays corrosion free and looking fresh, even underneath!

Topaz must be one of the first UK detailing companies to use this process. I’ve seen a few vids of detailers in the US, but not in 🇬🇧. Top job…more vids please 😎👍

Watch stipt polish point. The only company that really makes cars like new, even the undercarriage. They're Dutch but their results can be seen on their youtube channel.

What a fantastic process , how it removes the grim and dirt without causing any damage is amazing, and the end result is factory finish!!
What do you replace the cosmoline with after youve blased it all off? Thats the brown covering you see on most of the engine and suspension parts - its not dirt, its a protective covering applied at the factory. With these cars in the UK it is essential that it is either not removed, or is replaced with an alternative after removal. Most of these videos show it being removed, but never replaced. Its one of the reasons these cars still exist and havent rusted away.
It's like turning back the clock. Wonder if I could use it on my face 🤣

We have PPFed undertrays on some cars and we frequently PPF diffusers/splitters

Wheee does the residue go? Surely the grime itself needs to go somewhere. Does it fall to ground or some vacuum device?
Wow. Looks like the corrosion inhibitor has really done it's job. What was it replaced with?
If I was a Young man again ( I am 68) I would love to train to be a Sub Zero Detailer! I would not see this as work but a Joy to Do, I totally understand how this works and i understand that the Tools are amazingly costly but the finish result is more than a game canger as fo,r as Perecction in detailing. I could and I do watch so many sub zero detailing projects On KZread Premium.

What is a rough cost to do this then, lets say a car that takes 2 days?
I hope this tool doesnt end up with used car dealers or we will have a lot more cases of odometer rolling back
