Yes! My kids think my hands are made of oven mitts!😂 I’ll also test a frying pan with my finger and it freaks them out! I tell them to NEVER try it!! 😅

Your mom is so sweet! The milk bread came out so good too. I love how you both alternate between cantonese and mandarin, very relatable bc I’m always mixing up cantonese/taishanese/english at home too 😂

I love to watch cooking content, but what I love more than that, is watching the talent cook with their family. I feel in some parts of the world, particularly in Asia, it's such a pinnacle moment of the day - around a table sharing a meal. To see then the elders of the house cooking one of their signature recipes and the care that goes into that, passing it down a generation, is really endearing! I can't wait to try this recipe + finish the questionnare!

Growing up, I remember getting milk bread from the bakery around the corner (literally, it was on the same block). I love when they have raisins in them too. It's nice to eat them dipped into (instant) coffee as a breakfast sweet treat. They're not as wide though, and usually had 1-5 raisins per loaf. Thank you and Mama Lam for showing how to make it from scratch! PS: I love how your mom utilizes the walls to make her kitchen tools more accessible. Really feels like a workshop.
