The triple thick doesn’t reactivate the alcohol inks??

It does seem like the alcohol inks in this were reactivated when they were sealed with the Americana. I’m not sure I would use it for that reason.

Love your work. Will the tripple thick gloss handle a hot cup of liquid? Does it stick to it or leave a circle on the coaster? I have had this problem in the past with other sealants. I haven't tried resin yet, but if Tripple Thick works, then I will use that.

It is heat resistant to a point. You could put a cup of hot coffee on it, but not a hot pan. As with any product, you may want to do a test on a small area first. Thank you!

what size of coasters you use

Can you use spray clear fixative. Like gloss spray.

Maybe. It would depend on what it is intended for. You would want something that is water and heat-resistant. Something for outdoor use might be a good option.

How long do you wait to add the triple thick after applying the alcohol ink? I made some last night and tried to apply the triple thick this afternoon and the ink was still wet and smeared.

Really? Alcohol Ink dries pretty quickly. That is surprising. Maybe do a light spry of a sealer like Americana Matte Sealer, let dry, and then apply the glaze. Thank you!

I used this for the first time last evening on a ceramic tile with alcohol ink that had been put on days ago. When I added the gloss, it reacted like I'd just sprayed alcohol on it and my alcohol ink basically disappeared. In this video it looks like you coated them right away. What did I do wrong?

The only brush on glaze I thought you could use is Piñata…. And even then , I had some inks just get reactivated becasue I put it on too thick.

the glaze you are using is it as good as resin?

They are similar in ways. I find I have to put more layers of Triple Thick (the glaze used here) which can be more time. For me, personally, resin gives a more professional look. Triple Thick is a great alternative though. I like to add 4 layers of triple thick which is closer to how a resin pour looks. I do want to point out though that I have not poured over a piece with dried alcohol ink, so please bear that in mind. Thank you!
