Hi, I'm glad you have found the staff sling! You can tune the trajectory of your release by shortening the cords, this makes it release earlier and gives you a higher trajectory. Once you get it throwing at 45 degrees up for maximum range, you can do a soft start to your throw and delay the power slightly, this puts you back onto a low trajectory by delaying the release. It is hard to describe but easier to do once you try it.

Actually picked up a shepherd's sling prior to getting some throwsticks, but haven't had a place to sling unfortunately (don't really have much room to throw). Glad to see you back and overlapping some more of my interests!
