Making an Over The Garden Wall inspired pumpkin of my DREAMS
Ойын-сауық
Can you smell it??? Autumn is approaching with every passing day, and in my EXCITEMENT I had to try a craft I've been wanting to do for several years now...with the help of OVER THE GARDEN WALL. I had so much fun with this and I hope you did too. Please leave any critiques or tips in the comments below, or your favorite part of this beloved show. Thank you so much for watching my spooky friends🍂🎃

I loved this video! It totally took me back to my childhood...but our papier mache was never that fancy. We basically dipped strips of newspaper in a slimy glue/water mixture, wiped it off, and slapped it on whatever we were mache-ing 🤷♀️ Love you Sarah! And your editing is fantastic. Your pail turned out amazing!! Great job!!

I’m old too and remember paper mache!!!
You did so great. I would probably try to keep atleast a bit of the pumpkin ridges and instead of that flimsy handled, I'd use a rope. But its adorable.
I am a paper mache artist. Paper clay can take upto two weeks to dry. If you rush it and the outside may dry but the inside will not. If the inside does not dry fully it will mold and or crumble. Some of my projects take a month for the layers to dry.
There is not one thing that I don't love about this. Not one. You did such an amazing job on him!!
He’s perfect. And your: “I tricked you.” What a treat. 😂😂😂 Love the little hat. 🥺
I'm thankful this lil guy brought me to your channel :) I appreciate how positive you were towards your pumpkin while making him too, a lot of people online are pretty harsh towards their creations during the process of making them so this felt like a nice change!
Your edits always keep me rolling and the Rick roll was hilarious 😂. Seriously though you really are an artist. He’s beautiful!

Oh my gosh!!! He is SO CUTE! 🧡🖤🧡
I just found your channel and have been binge watching your Halloween videos. This is outstanding! Holy crap! I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL.
Love him! I always place my paper mache projects in front of a fan and leave it for however long it takes. Moving air will dry faster than just about anything. I want to do this project next year, thanks for the video!
I did it. I looked up Meatball Man omg I couldn't finish the horrid song. My ears, my eyes, my mine. ANYWAYYYY very cute pumpkin 🎃 love it! I subbed.
This is my first time seeing your content. I wish I could upvote 10x. Love it. Love the editing. Good show!
Wow!!! Adorable and I love those pails soooooo much!!!! I have a couple, maybe I’ll make one too!!! 🧡🧡🧡
He’s adorable! 🖤😎🖤
It's that time of the year again.... where I watch Over the Garden Wall on a continuous loop until Christmas........ Thanks for reminding me!
Yeah papier maché takes ages to dry. A possibly safer option than using the oven would be to make a mini drying box. Take a cardboard box, cut 2 holes one just large enough to stick the nozzle of a hair dryer through and one to let air escape (keep a flap so you can open and close it and regulate the airflow) close it up with whatever you need to dry inside and let it run for a few mins. Creates a very hot and dry environment on the cheap, just don’t leave it too long, and don’t leave it unattended, also works to help stubborn paint finishes to dry faster. Could also stick it near a space heater/ fan combo if you have one of those, dehydrates things better than a fan alone.
YAY THE QUEEN HAS POSTED 👸 sorry I was late (I was at school )
I never heard of over the garden wall but i love the look.

Wow! Sooooo good 👏🏼🧡🖤👻
In the future if you make tiny pinholes all throughout the plastic before you paper mache it, it helps it dry faster.

I guess I’m going to Walmart now. Gonna get a few pumpkin buckets.
He looks so good!
HE LOOKS GREAT!!! 🎃✨✨
That is so freaking adorable!!
I'd say it would be worth it to do a base layer of "mache" on the pumpkin with just strips of papertowel and glue to give the "crumbly" mache something more to hold to than just the glue on plastic. As well, squeezing out some of the water from your final "mash" before adding glue would help with drying since it wouldn't be as soggy. I think that having that initial paper towel/glue layer would also allow you to use less of the mash (not as thick a layer), making for even quicker drying time!
This turned out so cute, I'm totally gonna make one this year! I love the OTGW
I love it! What a cute project.
I loved this! Great video! 🎃
Great job!
Your pumpkin sculpt is adorable. The paper mache texture looks great - much better than if you’d covered it in paper clay. I had a blow mold pumpkin with a glaringly bright nightlight bulb in it. Last year I glued a scrap of black open weave landscape fabric to the inside to diffuse the light. What a pain. I assume you edited out the tissue gluing due too excessively vulgar language. I’m working on a prop for the front porch. I thought a “Nosferatu” plaque would be cool. My gal said “nice, are you going to give the skeleton fangs?” So I finally broke down and bought some Apoxie Sculpt (which I found out today can be submerged in water when cured). Sculptures in jars full or murky water coming next year I think. So the fangs are done and I was wondering if anyone made a NOS4A2 license plate I could throw in the coffin. Okay it’s $17 (on Amazon) but it’s full size 12”x6” and stamped metal! I would assume you’re a NOS4A2 series fan. Anyway great work and I even liked the burlap ruffle - and I despise clown ruffles on Halloween decor - just this morning I cut one off a resin cat we’ve had for more than 4 years.
the freaking meatball man lmaoooo
He looks INCREDIBLE OMG 🥰🥰
Your lil pumpkin guy is adorbs!!!!! Love it and how talented you are Sarah! Keep these great videos coming!
I freaking love it. You just inspired me even more to make one. The paper clay you used for the lips is it the same thing you used for the head

The drying part is the worst! I've been working on mini vintage inspired cat lanterns since I first found out about paper clay about two weeks ago. At the beginning I was like "Oh, yeah! I'll probably have a few of these done by the end of the week." Like I said, two weeks, and I haven't even started painting. 😭I just get caught up in all the little details, but It's so much fun though, especially when you think about how it started off as just a bunch of paper and glue.

What timing-my kitchen table is covered in Walmart pumpkin pails atm. I have some for making vintage paper mache buckets, the rest for a front door display I am making. They have mini pails too, in case you wanna make some mini friends. Oh, and ASMR is my version of hell, I was unprepared for that and had the volume on high. It's okay...it's funny...now. ;)
